Yes, I think there are no longer any stewardesses - just flight attendants.  Similarly, there are no more actresses - just actors.  In a similar vein, there are no more hostesses, only hosts.  It makes sense, doesn't bother me.

@Slitslattly - I noticed you're new to the forums. I think you'll have more fun here if you discuss things you're interested in.

Criticizing so many hosts in one run-on post will probably not go well. I hope you find at least one you enjoy watching.

Leave OP alone. She's as free to post her opinion as you.

@CalminHeart - Of course she is! I'm sorry if I offended you and others. I'm sure @Slitslattly appreciates your support of her opinion. The fact that there is so much negativity in a FIRST post just threw me.

I think there are ways to voice your opinion by seeing the positive first. Someone taught me that a long time ago, and I try to do that.

I agree for the most part. There is no positive in certain things and I'm not talking about Q or hosts.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with using the word hostess, it is no different than actor and actress. Nothing sexist about it, some people here just like to bring in such terms.

We can agree to disagree. Would a man like being called hostess? Unlikely. I think it's misogynistic to not have the same title a man would have in the same position.
