Wow! I was just watching OVC - Halo was on and Shawn just left the host to finish up with her own product. That is more than rude. the host is not there to do the job of the host.  Maybe we ought to think about how to do things without being rude to the hosts who are showing their products.

Wow, anything to complain about a host!

I've seen this done many times. Vendors certainly know how to close out a presentation about THEIR product. Geez!!

You've got me confused.  Shawn IS the host.   Makes no sense.

I have seen Shawn do that before with a new vendor. It was Nic+Zoe and the vendor just stood their with no clue what to do next. I don't think that is appropriate to just walk away like you have amnesia. If that is how they are instructed to do their job, it needs to be reviewed.

I've seen her walk off leaving the vendor alone.  Before just walking off, she should say something to the vendor and audience.

Re: Host leaving

It's unprofessional and rude.

Sure, many of the guests are quite competent and carry on swimmingly.

This host has done it repeatedly with only a moment of notice to the guest.  I have seen them startled by the short notice.   The excuses made for the host are quite amusing.

This host does it differently than the others mentioned.   Not comparable.   It's often a storm off leaving the guest in an unexpected lurch.

Definitely diminishes the need for a host at all, in my view.  Evidence that they are not really necessary.

The hosts are probably only doing what they're told. Why so judgmental?  Am sure producers are constantly in their earpiece telling them to hurry and move on.  Not a big deal IMO.

How do we know Shawn did not say WHY she was leaving unless we saw the presentation.

I have seen hosts leave many, many times and have always said why...not just disappeared.

I saw the show.  Shawn stopped and asked the Halo brand rep if she was OK to finish the sell because she had to run off to change and prep for the next show.  The brand rep was happy to do it, she wasn't startled by it or seemed unprepared.

Remember, the brand reps have been doing solo shows on QVC 2 for 3 years now, they know exactly what to do all on their own.

I may not be a huge fan of Shawn's hosting, but at least get the details correct and give the right context.

It was neither rude or a shock to the brand rep.  It was business on live TV.

I seriously doubt this was not planed, they would not just surprise a rep.

Just another "new" hit and run poster and the post sounds like she/he might just be inebriated.

I'd much rather hear from the product Rep or designer  abt the product details  than all the silly prattle from some Hosts who are constantly going off stage to change their clothes . Are they Hosts or Models , difficult  to tell .
