Is it necessary for EVERY individual that presents to be greeted with a kiss or hug from the host/hostess when they come out to present?   It is rather superficial.   I find it very annoying.  Anyone else?  This is a business.  You would not kiss a vendor that comes in to pitch their item in a board room.

Re: Host HUGS and Kisses

[ Edited ]
Most of my shopping with Qvc comes from online. Seldom watch live Qvc. Don't think one can compare Qvc to boardrooms. Not the same venue. Society as whole more relaxed concerning etiquette. Imo not good! Attributed to social media and lack of manners. Emily Post, Must be turning in her grave. For those who don't know who Emily Post is, Google and suggest reading one of her books. Look! Fact is, Simple Please or Thank you often lost in translation. Then you have smooches inappropriately touching and such. One such example, Once met someone for dinner (business) who patted my back side. Slapped him of course! Thought, Really!! Unprofessional. Most shall disagree with my values, Like I say-Born in the wrong era.

I don't think it's professional at all.  If you think of other professions, you just don't see people doing that.

I agree.  All the hugging and kissing and "love you" could be done before or after shows.  Seems phoney, for camera.  Most people rarely hug people they work with frequently.  Guess QVC is all about the love.😉

I don't like it, but I really don't care one way or another whether they continue doing it or not. Personally, I wouldn't want to work in a place where everyone hugged and kissed all the time. That seems kind of weird to me.

What is it with SK telling Isaac, Dennis, Cameron "I love you." Really. Hosts are obviously doing this to gain favor with the vendors in hopes of "quid pro quo." I wouldn't want a job where I made a fool of myself and lost all dignity.

For me personally I don't mind it at all. I work for a large Fortune 500 company and whenever our subsidiaries from South America come to visit, there is a lot of hugging and kissing....They think we are cold, but I personally am a hugger. I wouldn't necessarily say a kisser, but my friends and I all hug when we get together, and my daughters and I hug, but I think it depends on the situations and the person. Some people are and some aren't. It doesn't bother me at all that the hosts kiss or/and hug!

In my opinion, QVC is the antithesis of professional.
