It is about time you are devoting time, vendors, programming and products related to Hallloween and have stopped making us choke on how many weeks and days and hours till Xmas.It has been very unpleasant to race and rush this part of the year which actually is a favorite time of the calendar to much of the country. And the quality of the products is of a much better quality than in the past.

Re: Halloween is a Holiday Too!

@Slopester For me, Christmas is a far more important holiday than Halloween. Although I decorate and enjoy Halloween I do not agree that the items offered are better quality. Not even quite sure what you mean.

In addition, Christmas is more of a "season" so yes, most people prepare very early for such a special occasion. I find there are plenty of offerings for Halloween and I don't mind being reminded how much time is left. It helps me get prepared. As for "race and rush"? We can make our own choices, do we choose to order and plan ahead or wait to the last minute. I like to get a head start and am already far into my Christmas buying.

Re: Halloween is a Holiday Too!

I've seen a good bit of Halloween items offered during programming and I know a simple search would show so much more online.

It is September 7. You can put up your tree and start decorating tomorrow. How's that?

@Slopester -  Maybe have some tea or chocolate.  Your posts today are kind of biting.

Re: Halloween is a Holiday Too!

I have no interest in Halloween and it is a non-holiday for us.  I think there are more and more people feeling that way now that it isn't a neighborhood thing any more, but a bussed-in free-for-all in some neighborhoods.

Re: Halloween is a Holiday Too!

I can't stand Halloween and would love for it to be skipped altogether and the focus solely on the harvest.

Re: Halloween is a Holiday Too!

@Slopester.  Halloween is not a National Holiday, and many people have objections to celebrating it.  Have fun with it if you like it; I've  never really enjoyed it and think it gets more than adequate attention now.
