Important suggestions regarding handbag presentations:
1- Use a mid-tone color handbag for the close-ups to show the handbag features. Details are difficult to see on dark color or very light color handbags.
2- Be sure the color of the handbag for close-ups contrasts with the clothing color of the product rep or host that is doing the detail presentation. Otherwise the handbag blends into the background and the details are lost.
These 2 things have been problems for years, but seem to be getting worse. For the last few Dooney shows, black handbags have been used, and the presenter is wearing dark colors also. The quality and details of the Dooney leathers and construction and styling are features to be highlighted, not hidden.
I also want to add that the small display tables (set up next to the bookcases of handbags) look very awkward.
How can the customer enjoy the presentation, when it looks so contrived?

I would like to add: When there is a well respected vendor (Sue from D&B) or the actual designers please let them talk! They know more than just colors. Sue was on the other night and could hardly get a word in. She was forced to stand there with a smile while the host went on and on for almost 5 min. I don't buy bags unless the vendor/designer demonstrates it's features.

That seems to be happening a lot now. Even the hosts who use to be good are now talking over the vendors. It is constant interruption asking the director and I quote "How many Frank?" 1000 just flew out of here. That is one sales tactic that is getting very old. I think some vendors like Sue are better than the hosts.

My biggest pet peeve is that almost none of the INTERIOR is shown. That's my main concern about these purses now a days, bad interior designs so that not much fits inside and the one or two sections are too small. Also the bottoms of bags need to be wider...3-4 inches wide and then narrower as it goes up to the top. But we hardly ever see the inside of these badly designed bags. I bet ALL of those people showcasing those bags would look inside the bags thoroughly when shopping for themselves.

@nzwyck ,
I agree, and will not purchase a handbag if the interior is not shown.

I want to know the size of the bag right away, also if it doesn't have a zipper pocket on the outside i will not buy it.
