I'm going to agree with World Traveler - 'shipping and handling' is a single entity.
If it were two completely separate items, and not one entity, it would be 'are' - e.g. The books and pencils ARE on the table. Two separate things. Shipping and handling, in this case, is a single fee/notion.

I plead guilty to this. I honestly thought it was 1 word. I
started noticing "auto-correct" fixed it. I TRY my best when typing & writing, to use correct spelling & punctuation. I have to admit, sometimes my sentences run together.

@Crittersx4. It's just a single fee called "shipping and handling" so IS is correct.
What drives me crazy is Gabriella constantly saying "Mary, she, is wearing green". I can remember as a teen my dad explained that it is extremely poor grammar to say a name and then a pronoun.

One person says "go head" instead of go ahead. It's ok, I know what she means. If they talk too fast, I can't understand at all. I like honey nut cheerios.....![]()

Yes....this happens alot....

Your speaking about pronunciation. Education is important.

I’d like some fresh, hot glazed donuts with my coffee this morning. Thank you!
