I'm curious about what is done with all of the food that is displayed during the presentations if the hosts are not allowed to taste anything. For example, there were 20 plates of Mama Mancini meatballs with pasta on display during the meatball presentation. It seems to be rather wasteful in our current environment.

I agree about the waste, and seeing as nobody is allowed to eat the food on air due to Covid restrictions, I imagine it probably is thrown out.  And I'm with you on their not needing to display so many trays/plates of meatballs, and other foods.

Very observant. Do you think such an egregious display of waste will put QVC into bankruptcy?  I've been in restaurants where entire families leave 75% of their food on their plates so wasting food is nothing new.

Just because you see waste in restaurants, etc. doesn't make it right.

I always thought the vendor donated the food being squeezed and pummeled by the hosts. I didn't think QVC paid for the food.

Heres what I think: the food is probably being eaten by the people that work there. No matter what is said.

The leftover food is destroyed.  After sitting under hot lights for hours and being handled by multiple people, it's not safe or fit for consumption.

Channel surfing a short time ago and when I hit on QVC I could not believe my eyes that yet another gourment holiday show was on. Rachel was picking apart a dinner roll or pastry, something like that, piece by little piece by little piece by little piece. She totally destroyed whatever it was.......

It is such as shame that vendors  some how think that plates and plates of  very expensive food like lobster, prime rib, roats of all kinds  are just to be wasted.

I don;t know why they  have to keep going with this wasteful concept .

So many children going hungry.
