Full hours devoted to the same product is just nonsense! All of us have used vacuums, blenders, computers, and most of us tablets. It's getting to be an insult they believe they need an hour to explain to us how to use them!

As far as I can tell, it remains 2015.
What you're seeing, in my estimation, is that Marketing has picked up on the fact that many people can't seem to detached themselves from any type of electronic device. When this was noted some years ago, companies jumped on the bandwagon and started to not only sell, but develop new devices of every sort. Being made in China, makes them affordable for many.
And so now we get to the nitty-gritty of your question. What we're seeing is "infomercials" versus regularly scheduled programming. I say this, because when presented as such, it turns on negative vibes for many. (And they will keep this up, slam-dunking products at viewers to no end, due to stock in the warehouse.)
The only thing I can suggest is to hang in there for the sales which will occur after Christmas, then the spring product lines. *Christmas is only 13 days away.
Now,that should be fun!

An electronic TSV 2 days in a row. I agree they are turning into infomercials and I haven't been watching much lately. I'll flip the channel to see what's on but then just switch to something else. Lots of Dooney & Bourke too lately. They must sell a lot of them but I could never justify spending that much on a handbag.

My "favorite" is when they tell you what kinds of "things" you can put in your pockets (!)

It is 2015, and the great thing about it being 2015 is that you are not being held captive to only a handful of television channels. The great thing about 2015 is that you are currently connected to a device which can access virtually the entirety of human knowledge. Plus, in 2015, an plethora of non-shopping opportunities exist such as readong, helping others, going for a walk, etc.
QVC is a retailer. They sell items, They do not exist to entertain us. They do not exist to alleviate our boredom. They have millions fo customers tuning in throughout the day to presentations because not everyone watches television on your schedule.

QVC has become one big, boring infomercial. It used to be more like going to a nice mall and seeing all sorts of different, unique, quality items. Now it's like going to Wal-Mart and only seeing the house brands and knock offs.

It's still an insult that they think I need an hour to learn how to use these products. I'm sorry if you do.

Judging by some of the electronics/computer questions and problems people ask/talk about on these forums, many people DO need an hour...or more...being told they are buying the latest, greatest and best electronics, and being assured that whatever they want to do, the machine of the hour will do it - just by turning it on, and voila, like magic, it knows what you want and will give it to you instantly, better and faster than anything else you could buy anywhere for twice the price. Uh-huh.
And customers are eating it up. QVC wouldn't be doing it if it wasn't highly profitable. They get to sell hundreds, if not 1000+, $500-800 items *per hour*, 10+ hours per day on a TSV.
Kinda scary that there are still that many people out there that clueless about computers.
