Re: Good Customers deserve something...anything!!!

I abolutely 100% totally agree.

Yes for every dollar you spend you get certain points or levels, and earn a discount on one item...or even a 5.00 off coupon on a $50.00 item.....THIS WOULD NOT HURT THEM....BUT WOULD SHOW APPRECIATION TO THE LOYAL CUSTOMERS WHO SPEND THOUSANDS PER YR .  THIS WOULD NOT KILL THEM TO DO SOMETHING.

Oh but I did get an ugly striped tote for my birthday. Really ??

Re: Good Customers deserve something...anything!!!

I use coupons and clip them every week, whether it's for a restaurant or groceries. When Kohls has a sale I make sure my discounts are in my coupon book...  so yes, I'd love to see a decent discount coupon from the Q.

On the other hand, coupons can actually create an environment where no one buys full price after awhile.....  because with enough sales/coupons the customer stops buying at full price and will only buy when they have a coupon in hand.  Kohl's is a prime example. Their sales are great!  But I won't buy what I'm searching for at Kohl's unless I have coupons ready to use because I think that they jack up the prices initially to compensate....  so this means that in order to keep sales flowing the coupon and sales have to happen every week, which is what Kohl's does IMHO.

Re: Good Customers deserve something...anything!!!

I think for the Q, reward points would work well.  I know they aren't in the business of reduced prices, as people who pay regular price would have fits!  Coupons are a little hard .  But I think earning points for every dollar spent would work, like Nordstrom..  You could redeem them for money off purchase, or free shipping reward on a couple products.

Those that truely spends tons here would reap some sort of reward, and it might encourage more loyalty for products that can be bought elsewhere.  I spend a fortune on Perricone, Bess and others...but I buy elsewhere.  One, I get free ship and returns.  Two, I get high mrrebates, 6 to 10 % is standard/   Three, I get rewards.  At neiman's I earn 50 and 100 dollar gift cards on certain purchases...PLUS you get double points for each dollar and the reward you with a gift card!!  After I spend a certain amount I earn 2 day shipping, and free gift wrapping, anf NM gift wrap is splendid.  Their make up and skin care is the same price as QVC.  except Neimans gives you free samples and bonus gifts/

I agree with you, OP. Hsn sends me coupons and discounts.  Today, I got a 20% off coupon, because it's Leap Day.  Yes, I used it.

Re: Good Customers deserve something...anything!!!

I have often thought about this topic myself.  I have credit cards with some stores that offer free shipping after you spend a certain amount.  With the technology available today they could easily keep tract of their customers spending and reward them after spending a certain amount each year.  It might work in their favor as people might be more willing to shop with them if they knew they had a perk such as free shipping.  Another way would be to earn Rewards (Like $25.) off an item after spending say $500.

Re: Good Customers deserve something...anything!!!

Recently I had a huge issue with QVC that I elevated to corporate.  In the past I had very good results when I did this but wasn't the case this time.  I told the woman I had over $600 worth of orders that I was about to cancel.  Her response was "well you don't have to take it that far".  I finally got what the Q owed me after three months of weekly phone calls but they didn't think it was their problem and I was being silly and I should just forget what I was owed.  To be honest, I didn't like her attitude at all and was very surprised that corporate would have a person like her representing them.  I have come to realize that Q doesn't care how good of a customer I am so I'm cutting my buying big time.  There is only ONE vendor that I will continue to purchase from but even those orders will be cut dramatically.  This woman spoke as if the Q was doing me a favor by shopping their site.  I like to be appreciated for my business and sadly this is not the case here anymore.

Re: Good Customers deserve something...anything!!!

ITA with the OP.  I have spent a bundle over the years.  A couple of years ago, I totalled up my annual spend for that year and it shocked me - many thousands of dollars.

Yet, nary a coupon, discount, nothing.  They occasionally threw an easy pay for my birthday.  Seriously!?  Never any free shipping.  And, please, no one give me that line that shipping is built into prices in other places.  Same item at Nordstrom, same price ships free.  That is just one store as an example.

I absolutely do not feel valued as a customer here.

Yes, totally my responsibllity for shopping here.  I did it.

My QVC dollars have gone down significantly.  I rarely shop in stores, mostly on line.  I find better prices, faster and free shipping elsewhere.  I am very careful what I purchase here now.

Good luck getting any incentive from QVC.  They're so cheap they lowered the percent rebate on Mr. Rebates to a miserly 3%.

I'm glad I saw your post as I was wondering who controlled the percentage.  I should have know it was the vendor.  I prefer getting 5 o/o elsewhere thes days.

I have an HSN card, and HSN absolutely shows they care about their customers and do so with coupons very often. Even with their packaging, HSN will toss in some sample perfume slips and literature on some new items. They send Birthday cards with some kind of discount. I originally got my HSN card b/c they offered me 20% off a treadmill. Who can refuse that?

I've never gotten a Q card, b/c they've never offered me anything but an extra EZ Pay. Sorry. Q, where I've spent huge amounts of money, well ... nothing.
