Get your ship together

[ Edited ]

I knew when I saw a simple 5 day arrival time for my QVC purchase it was either a dream or a twentieth-centuryesque improvement.

It was the former.

Why is shipping so hard here?Shipping.gif

@Anne2012. Why the snarkiness?  I have absolutely no complaint about QVC's shipping.  All my orders have shipped in 3 days or less for months.  This is as good or better than for other online merchants with whom I shop.

My orders also ship in 3 days.

No snark and it would be interesting to know who is exception and who is the rule.

Thanks for the postive response!

Shipping is pretty standard (compared to other online retail (cannot compare it to Big A though), in my experience as a long time customer. I am generally pleased with the shipping but I am realistic and don't mind a small delays.
There are exceptions/ problems but they are few and far between and usually vendor-driven. And Q Customer Service has always been fair, if I call- 😊

My most recent orders have been going to "shipped" status in either 3 or 4 days.  Of course once they are shipped, you are at the mercies of other entities.

@Skyegirl21   My shipping has also been exactly what I agreed to at the time of my order.  I know that sometimes the tracking info is wonky, but I usually don't check until the EDD is near because  while everything I've ordered has arrived on time, a package seldom arrives days early.

I never compare any company to another that runs a very different kind of business.   Amazon, for example, is very different.  I think their profit from the Cloud service they run plus the membership fees are worth more than all of QVC. The stock market analysts call Amazon a tech company! It can be a good value to shoppers who run their own businesses or those who frequently buy for more than one person. None of that describes me.

Although, strangers and experiences that don't impact mine, I'm glad others have been satisified.

Not having updated info on where your order stands other than "in process" and having to reach out, okay. Then CS not knowing the answer, okay. Reaching out again with not even an expected date of ship, I meaaaan...

But I see posting on here to simply vent for a situation I have been in, not once not twice not three times is even more frustrating as you have those who jump on posts to determine whose experiences are valid and whose aren't.

Oh well.

I honestly think some of it depends on where you live.  Some parts of the country may be closer to the warehouses than others.  I looked at my last several orders, and it averages about 8 days from ordering to receiving the item.  That isn't horrible, but it's slower than other retailers.  (I live in the midwest).
