General "Kitchen" Shows

[ Edited ]

I have noticed with watching a lot of  product videos (I rarely watch the Q live), many of the kitchen demo's are done on various tables in the livingroom or close to it. It seems strange imo. All the food is perfect and prepared. No mess.

I like how Tara continues to utliizes the kitchen in her presentations. She opens the fridge, and the oven. Bravo!

Never even thought about it even though I do like that they show real food in the items they're selling.  Sometimes I have to pull back from ordering when they make enticing-looking food.  I just know that wouldn't happen in my kitchen.

When I watch an actual food prep show on other networks where they are not selling pans and casserole dishes, etc. I always think about the behind the scenes work that goes into getting to the final finished table presentation.  Maybe I'd cook more if i had my personal sous chef!

I am not sure what point you are trying to make.  They are selling a gadget.  Does it matter what flat surface they use?  Does it have to be a kitchen background?  Would you prefer to see all of the prep and mess and clean-up involved?  Do you purchase more items if they open a refreigerator or wall oven?  None of this makes any difference to me.  I look for performance and that is all.

Yes they are selling the product, not the food. The presentations are boring now imo.
