Because so many feel the price increases on free shipping days. Here we go with more examples of this not being the case.
The following item (Home Reflection nightlights) was $49.99 yesterday plus $5.50 S&H. Today it was lowered to $39.99 with no S&H. I saved $15
The last example, a LocknLock set, remained the same price for weeks, it never increased.
I made about 10 purchases today and not one increased in price. They were either dropped in price recently or remained the same as days prior.

@AngelLove2 - I don't think it's realistic or reasonable to expect any retailer to reimburse shipping on something that was ordered days ago.
If you can cancel an order that hasn't shipped do so and reorder (if the price hasn't increased). Otherwise, live with what you paid, when you ordered it.
I think many of us have ordered something, paid for the shipping, then saw a free shipping day pop up. Just the way it goes.

@RescueLover It's through Microsoft Shopping. On the top of the screenshot you can see a tab (the second photo). If you have that and click it you will see the fluxuation in prices. It will also give you other locations where you can purchase the item cheaper. However, it doesn't account for shipping costs so it usually isn't a lower price overall.

Well, I ordered something TWO HOURS before the free shipping day started, and I said, Oh, well.
BUT, it was a jewelry item that was almost gone, and if I would have waited, it would have disappeared, because it is sold out now.
I am certainly not moaning over the shipping cost for one item, and yes, today I DID order blankets, Pereia storage boxes, a sale summer dress, and pillow covers, all items that I wanted, but no urgency to order right away--so they sat on my wish list and I tracked the prices.
To top if off I went to the QVC outlet and bought a few more things there (too cheap to pass up!). They we went to the Lancaster outlets and shopped even more! (Which meant we spent money on gas, lunch and dinner out!).
Free shipping is a nice incentive, but in the big picture, item price is more important.

agreed, if it hadnt shipped, free shipping should be automatic. I ordered several items a few hous before the free shipping went into place. not only am I stuck with the charges(I should have been able to cance) it tooke them a week afterwards to even mail them., it will take two weeks to get my order. unacceptable. I will think long and hard about buying anything else, especially if the item is needed in a timely fashion. Where are the east coast distribution centters?

as long as it has not shipped, you should be able to cancel the order or recieve any new promotion. That is just good customer service. Their current policy is not good customer service.

A lot of items are shipped directly from the vendors or manufacture. Q is not always to blame. That being said, I wish the hosts & vendors/manufacture advise the customers where the items are being shipped from "over the air" and "in print."
