There was an announcement at the top of the page when I logged in saying the boards were staying live.

Hmmm, as I read the banner it's very carefully worded. "As we continue to evolve". What that says to me is once the 'evolving' has ended, so goes the board. It's a 'stay of execution' in my eyes.

We all hope so!

exactly the way I read it.
While I didn't take the disolving of this board personally and I am now glad I have somewhere else to go. I also realize it was not a personal decision it was business. Tough to seperate the 2 sometimes.

Now many are reading more into this announcement and coming up with all the conspiracy theories like QVC is the enemy! It's as simple as showing that QVC recognized the significance of these forums to so many who were not going to go to facebook and there were many who said they buy more when checking in on the forums several times daily. The overwhelming protests did that! They realized because of the protests that by closing the forums they were leaving a huge void for more people than they realized. That falls into the QVC community experience they are referring to- makes sense!

@Pook @I wonder if they took the time to check our account purchase histories over time and saw just how much those of us on the forum spend here. They probably didn't see too many of us rushing over to FB either.

this falls under "can only control what I can"
in the end, if Q wants to ditch this place they will, lets enjoy while we can

In the grand scheme and big QVC picture, these forum boards are a mere blip on the radar. In business, it's not about anyone's personal feelings, it's all about growth and money.
Don't get too comfortable. Always have plan B in place

This makes me happy! This is a positive step by QVC from my point of view.
I wasn't about to go to Facebook and did try the other site, but wasn't comfortable after posting twice. It felt cold; not warm and friendly.
Thanks, QVC, for reconsidering this comfortable Forum!
