This was posted by another member this morning. I also watched the Linea by Louis Dell'Olio presentations, and was very frustrated with the way the new set is set up. Sometimes, I could only see the model behind a chair or at the very back of the room. Please go back to a runway setting, or at least keep the furniture out of the camera and let the models show the garmets so we can see what they are wearing. When Louis mentioned the new tights the models were wearing, we couldn't get a good look at the tights -- sometimes the sofa or chair were in the way, or the model was too far from the camera. I hope this can be corrected soon. I really liked the old "runway" presentations.
"Watching FEW on Monday, 9/8 and thinking what a disaster! The more I think about this the more annoyed I become. I can appreciate updating the sets but the most important thing for purchasers is to be able to see the product and for the product to be demonstrated. Please don't try to reinvent the wheel. There is a reason why"THE RUNWAY"is the only way to show clothing. We want the models to walk outto the cameraso we can see how the clothing moves. We want to see the entire look; front, sides and back. We want up close camera details of the fabrics, lining or no lining, buttons, tailoring details. We want the designers to speak 95% of the time explaining the fabric, fabric content, fabric care, weight, why it was selected and point out the tailoring details.
Would like suggestions on how to wear and how to style. Suggestions from the designer for styling new item with previous items offered in the collection. Tell us what is coming up that will go with item being shown. Show what the designer is discussing instead of going to something else. The designer is demonstrating a detail or a color and the camera goes to something else and does not go back to the demonstration."
