Face Masks being sold on QVC

QVC - if you are really trying to help everyone, why aren’t you at least offering free shipping on these masks? People are in need, cant find masks or either can’t get out and search for them and you are charging shipping!!!’ Really???

They are price gouging too.  50 disposable masks for $49?  No way.  I bought two 2-layered cotton masks on Etsy for for less than $20 a couple of weeks ago. I bought a box of 100 disposable masks from Amazon for $11 last week and will share with my dad and a disabled sister.

Honestly, I don't think this is so bad.  Have any of you priced these types of face masks and their availability? $1 per mask is actually a great deal, and they are backed by QVC's guarantee.  Any other face mask out there is shipping directly from China and costs a lot more. And if you search most have arrivals dates of 4-6 weeks.

Re: Face Masks being sold on QVC

First, people BEG QVC to carry masks so they can easily order them, then they want them shipped FREE?  QVC is not a charity like the Red Cross.  It's a struggling business operating in the red.  What nerve!

What's the item number of these masks and how quickly did they ship?

@Kachina624-Nice that the QVC finally brought in a real essential item.  On QVC.com, there are banners promoting free shipping on Dooneys and Dyson products. If the Q is offering free shipping on those items and others which are non-essential, then free shipping should be included on the masks which are most certainly more essential at this time.

@qbetzforreal    There's a much larger profit to be made on more expensive merchandise, so they can afford to be more generous.  The items you mention may be vendor shipped and subsidized.

I don't know where you live so don't know the cost of living.  I suppose masks could run $1 each in some areas and online.

I purchased a box of 100, same thing as Q sells, last week from Amazon for $11.00.   I realize most retailers are price gouging masks and other products needed for the pandemic.  But if you look around and monitor for a few days, you can find them for less.

The vendor that sold them to Q probably got them the same way other vendors got them.  There sure doesn't appear to be any difference or Q would have touted that in their description.

You're breathing your own co2. Just get a scarf for the times you're shopping and it's required. Other than that, get out in the sun and enjoy your day. Build up your immunity.
