When needing to exchange an item for a different "length", it would be great if the online "print return form" supported/considered when the item comes in a different length.
I needed to exchange a petite item for a regular, but the form only lists the petite sizes as an option in the drop-down box. As it stands, I will have to write in that I want the item in the regular length and hope that whomever processes the return does so for the length that I want.
I called to speak to customer service and was basically told that I would just have to return the item, then re-order for the length I really wanted (because it's a different item number and considered a different item
) . This would obviously negate the many "benefits" of the exchange program that QVC is constantly talking up.
The way I envision it is that in the area that displays the size information, there would be a new drop-down box labeled "length". In that drop-down box would be the options of Petite, Regular and Tall (as applicable) with the associated item numbers next to each one. Then the customer would have two additional drop-down boxes that allowed the selection of size and color.
This would, of course, require new coding on the part of the IT team, but this information is surely already available in QVC's databases?? If customer service reps can see this type of info when I call-in, then it can be programmed to appear on a web form.
This type of functionality would be beneficial to customers - dare I say "convenient". As well as the company itself because it could reduce errors when processing returns.

Thank you for your thoughtful suggestion and I will ensure our logistical and strategic departments receive your feedback. One thing to keep in mind with our exchanges is that the exchange must be within the same item number. Unfortunately, the different categories of petite,regular and tall are actually different item numbers. That maybe why the customer service representative said for you to return and reorder.
