Since 8/26, a blouse I want to exchange has been sitting at USPS in NY. Who knows if replacement item will still be available when it finally turns up at Q. If they would only ship out the replacement ASAP, like HSN, I would probably have it by now. HSN gives you 2 weeks to return the item, & then you get billed for the exchange if you don’t. It is very nice to be able to compare the sizes or colors of the two garments together.

You're right, the exchange system doesn't work in most cases. If I really, really want the item, I just re-order it and eat the postage. For all practical purposes, QVC does not have free exchanges. Right now if you tried to exchange a summer garment, snow would be flying in many places by the time you received it.

@Magny : My last exchange with the Q took 49 days. It was a pair of Clark’s for a different size and not even worth it.
I regret the whole thing and shop elsewhere.

when I order clothing online and unsure about sizing I order both and return the one that doesn't fit, much more efficient way

I have only tried an exchange once and didn't get the item I wanted so I paid for the return shipping. The item eventually came back in stock, but too late to do "exchange." I seldom by QVC clothing any more. Returns are too costly and the price of the item is more than I would pay elsewhere then you have to add the shipping.

Please let me know what is the item sitting at the post office and I will arrange for the replacement ASAP.

You both make great points. Another reason it's not "free" is that TSV items often sell out in the color or size you might want to exhange it for and I've found that they don't always get restocked before my 30 days are up. That means I have to return it, which costs money, versus an exchange.
The "free exchange" policy comes so much fine prnt/fast talk that it's not just not as advertised.
