Difficult posting on long (?) strands @QVC moderators

Do you think that if  a strand very long, the result is that my reply posts won't "take?"

I wait after clicking on "reply" and nothing happens.

Difficult in posting recommendations?  TIA!

@Brittany-QVC  It took almost five minutes for your response to show up... is this possibly due our server?  I am just wanting to understand... THX

@LTT1 That's a good question. Unfortunately I can't say for sure why that may have happened. (It may even have had something to do with me editing my post for a spelling error! Oops! Ha ha! I should have run my spellcheck!) Smiley Very Happy

You mean like if you start a post, get distracted, then come back and it won't post? I've had that happen on the old forums, too.

My trick is this: If I take too long to complete my post, I copy the contents, refresh the page, and then paste the content and post. It always works.

These new forums also have an auto draft feature. If you post something and it doesn't "take" because you took too long, visit your profile page and you'll see an "Autosaved Drafts" column on the left. The last post you were working on will be at the top. Click that and then finish up your post and click Post again.

You're very welcome. It was a painful lesson to learn, so I'm happy to be able to share it.

@ChynnaBlue  Thank you for replying!  In my case, I had not left the computer.  The reply screen stayed blank, rather than displaying a flashing line for the cursor.  This keeps happening when I am posting on long threads, and doesn't seem to occur when I am replying on a shorter discussion thread.

Hence, the lesson... START NEW THREADS!  lol jk

Oooh, I haven't encountered that. Sorry - sounds like a weird one. There have been some weird things happening today. Maybe @Brittany-QVC can figure them out. Several times I've tried to edit my own posts and could not. It would bring up my text with the HTML code, then the text would vanish from the text editor, leaving me with no way to edit. It would show my original post below the editing box, but nothing appeared in the text field to be edited. That happened to me several times today. Maybe something is glitchy.

@LTT1, has this been happening for a while, or did it start recently?
