@Desertdi

Those are cute!   Woman Happy

I have a set of 3 Joy Mangano readers that have been just the handiest things!   I leave one pair on my desk, one on the coffee table in the family room, and one pair on my nightstand.

I'm never without glasses .... but never have to carry them around!

BTW .... my BI-FOCAL SUNGLASSES are handy as heck, too.   I don't know if anyone sells them on here.   I found mine on ebay.

I "always" seem to take my readers off...and leave them "someplace".   I go around with a FLASHLIGHT looking for them.

I think I will try some of the SPARKLY ones...'cause they will really show up against a table, chair, counter, etc.     di

I have a large head, the type of bowling ball or jackolantern skull hahaha that can not wear women's hats. Men's hats are made for me.  That said, larger glasses frames look good on me.  I just so happen to be wearing, right now the Kathy Levine readers that @simplyfriends mentions.  I am very happy with them.  I've tried the Joy Mangano readers.  As careful as I was with them, each one, the arms got loose and broke off in a short amount of time.

I haven't seen much of Diamonique in the past few years. It was a big seller for the Q in the past.

I've always been far sighted, but at the ripe old age of 24 I had to get glasses for close work at my desk.

While glasses always seemed "normal" on older people, I was a bit upset I needed them so young.

Well, I had the good luck to get a great Optical Specialist help me select glasses.

Her words, which I've never forgotten, were ...

"Now, keep in mind, eyeglasses are jewelry for your face."

That changed everything.  It gave me a whole different perspective and I've since looked forward to getting new frames or fun readers.

I have always believed in basically the same thing.    I wore glasses since grade school.    Later on...when I had a job, I wore contacts sometimes, too.

But MOSTLY glasses....and I was ONLY interested in "high fashion" frames....no department store or "chain optical" stuff.

Then last August, I had to my have cataracts removed...and I opted for interocular lenses for distance.  No more glasses, except for reading and the computer.

I do wear MAKEUP, but I felt like a blank picture...almost like I HAD LOST MY PERSONALITY.

Since then...I have changed my hair to include bangs...bought a TON of different eyeshadow and mascara colors...but I still feel like I look like a different person...

I suppose I'll "get it right" one of these days.      di

Re: Diamonique by Kathy Levine Eyewear

I love readers and have a blast with different ones. I usually buy 'el-cheapos' that I don't feel bad about leaving somewhere! Kathy's do not fall into that category for me, I wonder if they are really well made.
