I really question if David is calling in any favors. He touts $100 per gram as a great deal. Well, I have news for him. It's not. Gold prices are down 1/3 and they retail wasn't even $100 gram before the price drop.

Oh yes, I question all of it... It's just more for the 'sales ploy' column... The Q really wants us to think they've negotiated and brought us fabulous jewelry at a great price, when more times than not, they've done neither...

I think the Q lost their much touted buying power in the past few years. There are better prices out there and QVC used to have the best variety and prices. I don't think David Markstein adds anything either. He's bland in personality and the host could relay the same information.

I prefer Peyton (the gem buyer) who actually ADDS information to the presentation rather than David who seems to be on the air to justify his decisions on what he purchased. I think the hosts do a great job describing and selling the jewelry without David and the host should be able to provide the gram weight...they always talk about the endless meetings they attend to learn about the products and information is provided on the blue cards....the gram weight should be included in that.

I have no problem with David and he is not on that often. Sometimes it is nice so you don't have to listen to the host yaking away.
