Re: DESIGNERS...Please, less Polyester for summer clothes!! POLY doesn’t breathe!

I never wear polyester tops and even my pants are a blend. For me, wearing polyester is like wearing a plastic bag.

If you need good cotton blouses, LL Bean's no-iron are outstanding. I wore them every day to work before I retired and people commented that they always looked crisp and pressed. All I did was wash on gentle, put in dryer for 1-2 minutes, and hang to dry.

No way does poly breathe. It is plastic and creates sweat and warmth. It feels clammy and awful during hot and humid months!

me too @skatting44 .  Cotton, Silk, Linen....I don't mind a small percentage of another material but it can't be overwhelmingly polyester or another man made fabric.  I hate it.

You spoke for "me." @Joyfulheartnmind I don't like clothing with multiple fabrics 3 or more woven together and am not fond of poyester.  I don't care what they blend it with.  Thanks!

Not all cotton will shrink either.  You have to care for cotton the way you would other garments.  I am particularly fond of cotton sateen items to wear.  Has a bit of spandex not much but looks wonderful and feels good against the skin.
