@2swans14 Thinking hard about dumping cable.  Except I have Internet and phone as well as TV and thinking they will get me one way or another.  The fees keep going up.  No competition in our area.  And I am not ready to do the CUT.

I also use only an antenna and receive QVC and HSN over the air on the ION network subchannels in my area (New York City).  I don't miss cable at all and get everything I need through the airwaves.

@Fluffy04  Welcome to the Community Fluffy.  I cut cable years ago and can get HSN and QVC via antenna.

@Bird mama  What kind of antenna do you have?  I bought one I thought would work, but it does not.

Re: Cutting Cable.....QVC needs to go YOUTUBE TV or DIRECTTV NOW

@mistriTsquirrel  Right now I'm working with various rabbit ear antennas.  I have 2 cheap RCAs and I think the other one is a cheap GE.  I don't want one of those flat ones that you stick to a window.  I'm thinking about buying this Terk

My tv is nearest the wall of the electric smart meter, lol.  Also just outside that wall is a pine tree and walnut tree. They say the higher up you go the better.

There may be something to that.  The TV in my upstairs office is in a bookshelf and the antenna is on the top of that.  I get the best reception is that one.  I have cupboards/shelves on either side of the fireplace in the family room where my biggest tv is.  I was hoping if I bought the Terk featured above and crammed it up high in a book shelf I would get a better reception.

I don't know - it ain't easy :-)

You don't need cable for QVC.  Right now, I'm using my IPad and can watch live shows via the internet.

@mistriTsquirrel  The Terk has a pre amplifier so just make sure you got an electrical outlet somewhere near where the antenna is gonna be.  It's not cheap - best price I've seen is $59.

If you have/get Roku, QVC streams on that. We cut the cable a few years ago.
