Cooking instructions for food

It would be nice if the Q can put the cooking instructions for all their food items. If they can put the nutritional info on a particular item, why can't they put the cooking instructions alongside it? Sometimes cooking instructions are on the box or bag and sometimes the box is thrown away to save space and I forget to save the instructions. We would then have to try and find the replay the original video and listen for the instructions.

The Q does put cooking instructions on the listings for some things, but I understand that they can't include them with everything. It's not QCV's job to look out for someone else's potential mistakes.  We're all adults here and adults should know how to store food or find needed cooking information. All of the vendors probably have their own websites, not to mention recipes that are at one's fingertips.

It's not the Q's responsibilty to provide a vendor's cooking instructions.  That should be on the product packaging.  If you need to store the product without the original packaging to save freezer space, all you need to do is cut the cooking instructions from the package.  There are things that I put in a LocknLock and just toss in the cut out instructions with the product.  Easy peasy.

Re: Cooking instructions for food

I've never received food item that did not have cooking instructions included. If not on the item's packaging, or a paper insert of instructions, then it's on one of the exterior boxes.

I find cooking most items pretty intuitive. None of what they sell seems very complex. I know to cook salmon to at least 145°, or chicken to at least 165°.

Re: Cooking instructions for food

Food is shipped directly from the food company.  Food is not stored or kept in a QVC warehouse, like most of what QVC sells is.  I could be wrong, but I don't think that they have a say in how the vendor's food items are packaged.

Google it. You can always find cooking info online for every kind of product.

Go to the vendor's website and see if they offer ideas or instructions.

For me...I'd never watch a video to learn how to cook something since it takes too long.

Or read the container the food comes in.
