Suggestion Box

I am a clock collector.   I purchased one off of shop NBC a few years ago.  The one and only thing I ever purchased from them.  I would love to see some clocks that play music or chime on the hour???  Just a suggestion.

QVC used to sell items such as musical clocks back in the days when they sold Hummels, Capodimonte, Black Forest Clocks, and more, and they had shows such as the weekly NASCAR collectible hour.  At some point the powers to be at Q eliminated collectible items completely. The only time they offer any is an item or two on St. Patrick's Day.

I have two of the "music in motion"  clocks from ShopNBC and love them.   They would make an excellent Christmas item for next year.   I've also given them as gifts.

I'd love to have one or two of those musical rhythm clocks but they're expensive......

I bought two around Christmas one from amazon and one from Walmart. I love them.

QVC used to sell chiming clocks, both battery operated -- a compact Grandfather clock (Westminster chimes) and an anniversary clock (Ave Maria), which I still have and hear on the hour (the Westminster chimes on the half & quarter hour).

I also have a mantle clock (not from QVC) that plays Whittington chimes (also on the half & quarter hour).

We had to replace the chiming mechanism in the Grandfather a couple years ago. But that thing is c. 1986 or 87.

I've set Grandfather to sound first, then Whittington, then Ave. My grandchildren love hearing them!

Years ago Q sold all kinds of knickknacks & collectibles.

Every year Sam's Club has a Seiko clock, it plays at least 12 different tunes. Each year it is a different selection of songs. Last time I was in the store it was on clearance for about $80.

I bought it @drizzellla  LOL  It is beautiful and price was great!  My hubby used to buy me one every Christmas.  He passed in March and I find that when all the clocks chime , I feel so many memories of how excited he was to give them to me.  So this year, I came across that clock and thought , I know he would have bought it for me.  SO I bought it for myself.  I have them syncopated so when one stops another starts.  It is just beautul and have come down in price over the years.

EEK...........I have one of those ancient Audubon clocks (I inherited it)........

Unfortunately, the only place I had to hang it was in  a dark hallway.......and it barely lets out little "croaks", since it only sings in the daylight (!)
