@Cumbercookie13 It’s nice you can help your mom with the wrapping. I did the same for mine and, boy, those bags would have come in handy.

As for the early programming, I like the decor shows early because I decorate around Thanksgiving and want the decor here and paid for.

Everyone is offended by something these days. But maybe try to come up with something better to be offended by than a home shopping channel. And by all means do not go into any retail establishments until January or you will be offended all over the place! Unless seeing Valentines day in January will offend you too.

Sorry you are offended by a shopping channel's rushing the season.  I know you enjoy the shopping experience or you wouldn't be on this Board.  They have to make a healthy profit or they go out of business. Would you miss them? I would enjoy a Halloween show or a Thanksgiving episode, but knowing that they have to fight for the dollars that keep them in business, I can't object to some early episodes. Seems to me that the brick and mortar guys aren't far behind. Now as for Native Amerifans Day, I say let's make a much bigger day out of it. We sure managed to treat them shameflly.

Didn’t we all come here from somewhere else?  Some came over the land bridge, some in boats or planes...

Ran into Costco today and had to pass all the holiday hoopla on the shelves. Didn't upset me but I did groan a bit. It's early, but it's that time again. I'm just not a big commercial holiday person, and it's the season of my faith. Wish it lasted only 2 weeks, but there's no money in that.
