The current CEO will leave, and the next person may come in with an even BIGGER axe, since there's no affiliation.

ALL publicaly listed companies answer to their stockholders.

If they don't....one day, there's no more company. It goes bankrupt and then NO ONE has a job.

And if I hear 1 more comment about the "dancing daughters" I'm going to throw up. No one cares about those "professional dancing daughters in New York".  Stop injecting that subject into every presentation multiple times!

Qurate is made up of 7 large retailers.  I find it hard to believe the QVC sales have been so bad that they had to get rid of two hosts like Carolyn & Dan!

Also, if I hear JRT say one more time, when presenting clothes that she's in a small, I'll lose it.

I wrote a similar post at noon and QVC removed it because it was "unkind". Now they are censoring what we say and feel.

If I were a stockholder, and I saw the huge decline in sales, I certainly would not fire a long-term host. I would fire the CEO, who has made these very poor decisions and such sagging sales. The new venture Athens, may very well be the end of them. They are looking for younger viewers, they won't attract them no matter what they do. The younger people in my family laugh when I tell them, I bought it an item on QVC.

I just saw Carolyn on last week. It must've been one of her final shows. So sad to hear this news. I loved her gardening shows. I've been watching since Dan first started. If they want to get rid of a few hosts how about the obnoxious Jane and Rick??? Can't stand either of them and refuse to watch when they are on. I wonder who else is on the chopping block? Mary Beth and Pat? These older hosts have a connection with viewers that new hosts do not.

I agree that something needed to be done but a lot of their losses were tied to the NC warehouse fire and I'm sure bad management played a role. I understand that people get pink slips but those of us that are boomers cannot identify with some of yhe younger hosts. I and I assume others, like to watch and identify with the hosts. If QVC didn't have Valerie Parr Hill, I wouldn't even bother watching it...and I only do that when she is with certain hosts....some I just cannot stand...even with Valerie!! My husband is celebrating QVC's decision cause he knows now my Q card will collect a lot of dust.
