Because I love QVC and have been watching for years, I thought this would be a great place to share our opinions. I realized that voicing my opinion brings out a lot of nasty, uncaring people who could never have empathy for anyone. For the people that have welcomed me, I thank you.

@Jewelrygal    You must keep in mind that other people also like to share their opinions which may be contrary to yours.  That's the nature of this type of board....spirited discussion of opposing ideas.  You should not take comments personally.

Consider that in the last couple of months, we've read probably close to a hundred posts that have said pretty much the same as what you said.  After people have read that many similar posts, it gets a little old.

Anyway, welcome to the boards and I hope you'll continue visiting here.  You'll probably find plenty of company with other jewelry lovers.

Welcome!!! Don't take anything personally.  Everyone has different opinions....it's all good.  I don't like when people are mean and nasty, but ignore them.

@Jewelrygal Welcome to the Boards and I totally get what you're saying!  I've been a member for many years, but don't often post....mostly because of the behavior you mention.  There are some folks on here who are self-appointed "Board Masters!"  They comment on nearly every post - not often with something positive to say - unless it's a response to one of the other "Board Masters!"  When I read their negative coments, it tells me a lot about them as a person - and I leave it at that.

But there are also many pleasant, open-minded folks who post and share very helpful information.  Stick with it - and don't let the cranky pants commenters drive you away!

@Jewelrygal Rarely will you find everyone agreeing so be prepared. Some of the most innocent posts can become contentious. You will learn to ignore certain posters. Feel free to post your opinions. 

I would suggest searching a topic before posting. Sometimes there can be dozens and dozens on the same topic. You can often times read these past comments to get an idea how others feel without posting another similar comment that has been repeatedly done over and over. 

Welcome. I've learned a lot here on these forums as well as finding that others feel the same as I do.

Sometimes it is not a fun place to be at all.   Especially the posters that take your comment or opinion totally out of context, either they read it too fast or they just pounce on you like a fierce cat for no reason.   Then their friends pounce on you too........when that happens you just have to move on.  Hurtful?  yes at times, but you have a right to post your opinion whether or not it matches theirs.  Welcome, and you will find you will learn a lot on here and who the nice people are if you stick with it. @Jewelrygal
