I injured myself this morning and decided to waste the day in front of the T.V. I flipped back and forth to various channels including HSN and QVC. I guess I was in the mood to buy something. Anyway throughout the day HSN had on jewelry, skin care, cameras, security, clothes, you name it...... but every singel time I flipped the channel to QVC they had on a bug zapper-every single time. I mean there's only so much you can say about a bug zapper. I'm not knockin the product just the time spent on TSV's in general. This isn't the first time I noticed this. I'm not complaining just making a genuine observation and suggestion. If QVC wants to remain competetive it shouldn't spend all day advertising one product.

It looks like there was a one hour presentation every other hour. That's too much bug zapper. This shopping channel would test the patience of a Saint. No wonder they're losing customers. Nobody else does that or anywhere near it.

I'm glad I get QVC2 to turn to but this is getting so predictable and frustrating. QVC would never have more than three shows per vendor a day, and hour-long presentations whether the TSV or not were nor more than three times in a day.
Now, every weekend on QVC has one or more TSVs in electronics, home improvement, fitness, kitchen appliances, bedding, or skincare with SIX hour long presentations at the following times (eastern).
| Saturday | Sunday |
| Midnight | Midnight |
| 3am (shorter presentation) | 3am (shorter presentation) |
| 6am | 8am (shorter presentation) |
| 10am (shorter presentation 2x) | 11am |
| 2pm | Noon (if kitchen) |
| 5pm | 3pm |
| 8pm | 6pm |
| 11pm | 8 or 9pm |
| 11pm |
That is not taking QVC2 into consideration and the fact that ones can access a TSV presentation on QVC.com at any time.
Aren't the QVC buyers buying a range of products that could be presented in general shows such as QVC Sampler, Fun and Leisure, or Make Life Easier with just a 15-minute TSV presentation? QVC does this as well with fashion. With cosmetics TSVs they often schedule hosts' Beauty Bag shows, but sometimes I wonder why it is necessary Susan Graver has so many blocks of time when she has a TSV when there could be a Focus on Fashion or a Statements on Style. But in those cases at least there are no hour-long presentations.

It's not a bug "zapper" and works different than one and I would think the reason it was shown that often is because those that watch continuously probably don't buy much anyway and very few watch shopping channels like they used to before the internet so it's to promote sales to those channel surfing . It makes good business sense and obviously they found out it is working better than showing the TSV's less often.

@Kachina624 I am one who has lost patience for the clothing shows until they get their FACTS straight. Just now watching SG.......and they are showing a Modal blend top......saying, "Modal is the cashmere of cotton." Modal is RAYON. They were also selling a "button down" shirt..........it was button FRONT........not button down. Maybe I'm just old and cranky.

QVC has been doing this for years...just really bad policy in my opinion. How much interest is there in a bug zapper? How much can be said in an hour times six without constant repetition? There may be channel surfers but there are also channel changers. This was a product that cost around a hundred dollars...seems like you would have to sell a lot to make it worthwhile to turn on the studio lights! I think it would be better to have any tsv presented within an hour of other products...there are so many on QVC.com that never are presented. If not then change your name to QVB....quality, value, boredom.

I saw the presentation just once yesterday - sometime in the early afternoon.
I know different shoppers have different watching and buying patterns, but mine rarely forces me to see repeat presentations unless I think I might want to buy. I have no use for a zapper, so a few minutes was enough, but that would also have been true if they were showing eye make-up or fancy shoes, none of which are on my current buying horizon.
However, shoppers like me are probably one of the reasons QVC ends up driving some viewers crazy. The last TSV I ordered had me watching different presentations off and on until quite late in the day. I could have ordered it within two minutes of first seeing it, but I kept trying to tell myself I didn't need it - and then I did and I'm still pleased with my decision.

@Desertdi I've noticed that they call shirts that button, "button down". I think of a shirt with a button down collar as being a button down.
Maybe the heat is getting to you. I'm in hibernation. I'm making my first batch of ice cream in my TSV ice cream maker. Strawberry.

@Desertdi Who's the vet going to take in, you or Ms. KITTY? If there was a power outage in Phoenix now, there would be many deaths. We'll pray that doesn't happen.
