During this time of people staying at home many are stocking up on frozen foods including myself. Not everyone has huge freezers or lots of space available in their freezer. I wish when food products are shown that the size of the box would specifically be shown during presentations and not just resting on a table in the rear of the stage where it is hard to judge. I was near to my limit in my freezer and recently hesitated on buying something. I had no idea how big the box was or how much space was needed for the items if removed from the box.

@SeltzerGal @Good suggestion about carton sizing. You can smack me if ya want but if your freezer is that full try using some of the food up to make room for more. What if your freezer broke down..there are none in stores right now.

@dex LOL! No smack! I do eat everyday, but not always from the freezer. I keep it fairly full while rotating/eating what's inside. I live in a highrise apartment and the refrigerator is on the small side. So even if there is room I still need to know the size of the box. I live just outside NYC in a high risk area and I'm in a high risk group. Therefore I have food delivered locally and online. If the refrigerator did break down (which I really don't worry about) it would immediately be replaced by a new one from the apartment house's stock.

@SeltzerGal It's good to have the security that your appliances will be taken care of.I worry that my freezer which is nearly 40 will give up working any day and my extra food will go bad.I am in the described higher risk group also and don't get out to shop.I have tried to purchase a new freezer but there seem to be none available.
Really wish this virus would burn out and let us get back to out lives.

@dex I can certainly understand your concern. A lot of money has been invested in food. Not sure where you live. I'm in northern NJ, 10 minutes outside of NYC. I just looked online and there are freezers available locally in Home Depot, Lowe's, Best Buy etc. Yes, I'm looking forward to that day too. I am so thankful to have a balcony which I go out on many times a day.

we've been ordering a lot of meat from Omaha Steaks
they are shrink wrapped in a box
we take them out of the box and put them in a labeled ziplock bag for the freezer. We date the ziplock bag
we have a upright deep freezer and the refrigerator freezer.... not enough room
DH is the ultimate caveman.....Must.Have.Meat.
