Now that I'm retired, I wear what I want instead of maintaining the corporate leader look.  It's so fun.  Right now, I'm wearing large pink framed glasses and love them.  It's different.  It's more me.  To each their own without judgment.

Absolutely agree  I remember when all the guidelines said your eyes should be centered in the middle of the lenses. I thought maybe optometrists had changed their recommendations so I did some research and, no, they haven't - the recommendations are still the same. So beyond looking like a bug eyed alien, people probably aren't even getting the best vision out of their oversized glasses. I guess if they're just readers it doesn't matter. Also another issue is whether magnifying the wrinkled, dark circles under the eyes is cosmetically pleasing. Oh well, it's a trend and will pass and look very dated in a few years but some people gotta jump on every bandwagon!
