Re: Before and After Closeups

@catlovercb "Before" and "Afters" are a joke; smoke and mirrors. To be more exact, it's the models' positioning and lighting (much brighter than the "before" pics) that makes it appear that the product makes a positive difference in the "after" look. Apparently, a lot of people are fooled by this sales tactic.

Re: Before and After Closeups

I can do my own "before and after" in less than 5 minutes.   First, a hyaluronic moisurizer followed by a dusting of mineral color-correcting primer,  neutral eyeshadow, blush,  mascara and lip gloss.    "Almost a no-makeup" makeover............

Ditto to comments made by others.

I'd also prefer vendors that present skincare products be of the age that would need line smoothers, etc. even though they're expensive moisturizers. It's difficult to believe a 35 yr. old or someone 50 who obviously has had some work done because they look exactly the same the last 10-15 yrs. they presented the same product. Misrepresentation, I'd call it.

I used Dr. D. for many years and my jowl still fell and tons of wrinkles from the mouth down.  No wrinkles on forehead and eyes are not bad.  I think its genetics.  I used those firming facial pads Dr. D. swears by and they obviously did nothing for my chin area.

Must not have worked for her either as she had work done, and admits it.  No need to poof this post, she looks entirely different.  That tells me hew own products were not enough for her either.

Re: Before and After Closeups

Watch the lighting, the slight angle.  So many subtle tricks we would never notice.

And my rant...... those selling these products... many of them  Botox treatments.  SO OBVIOUS.  Tells for this... look at the shape of the features, cheeks, lips, etc.  Should be a disclaimer.  Dishhonest.

So many times the before  pictures look better than the afters..... I think they might have mixed them up?

Re: Before and After Closeups

What frustrates me, is that, often, the AFTER picture shows that the model is wearing makeup, lip color, hair is styled, smiling.   Pure deception.  HSN just did that on the M Asam TS.
