I always thought the hosts did what they were told to do and hosted the shows they were told to host. Seems like what is being said is that no one is in charge and they do as they please and host whatever show they want to. I don't think this how hosting is handled, but it sounds like many do.

Mally was perfectly fine with the Steve presentation I watched it (and enjoyed it) and they both had a great time. Mally works with all different kinds of people, including men, and one of her BFF's is RuPaul. Some men wear makeup, concealer, etc. In general it would be great if we could accept that and move forward and let people just be who they are.

Another few considerations, I am not sure a 1am (eastern time) show lost many purchases because Steve was hosting makeup, it is on too late for many people. And quite frankly, some of the women hosts need to get more makeup lessons because they all looked better to me with less of it when covid started and the makup artists forever gone. Not all women wear makeup either, so it is presumptuous to assume they all like it, use it or are experts above and beyond the minimum required of their hosting job.

I personally do not care who is selling me what. I either want the product or I don't.  Steve and Alberti can be very, very *enthusiastic" and can be off putting because of that to me, but I would rather watch either of them over a number of female hosts. If a man vs a woman selling a certain product makes someone uncomfortable for no other reason than their biology, that is unfortunate. I hope we all can accept one another and be kinder.

Not true. In the 2010s, I used to provide styling/personal shopper services. Except for two women, all my clients were men.

I was watching a presentation on the weekend of Steve Doss presenting womens swim wear.  I find it hard to believe that none of your 21 female hosts weren't available to do it.  It was hard to watch, poor guy.  So when are you going to have David Venable do a presentation like this? Never, you wouldn't ask him and he wouldn't do it.  Shame on QVC. I had also seen him do a make up presentaion with Mally. Mally seemed really uncomfortable.

I guess you're living in a different era...smh. It's 2023.

Some people live so much in their own bubble that they don't realize that the big world out there exists. People don't have to fit a certain mold to be successful in life.

I'm territorial about such things, any item being sold/presented to me of a personal nature, I prefer a woman salesperson....

I feel bad for Steve. I think he will be a good host, but to be thrust into selling bathing suits and makeup while just getting the hang of being a host is totally unfair to him. I have been a long time shopper on Qvc, but a lot has changed, and not for the better.

He could have been a last minute substitute. I give him credit for doing his job.

Some people have too much time on their hands.
