I only started shopping here a little over a year ago. I have bought alot of jewelry. I want to tell you my experience.
I ordered an "as is" diamond ring which arrived with a big stone missing. I ordered a "new" diamond ring which came with a stone missing.
I ordered the diamond angel wing earrings "new" which arrived with one lovely earring and one dirty and tarnished.
I ordered the B Bixby grasshopper charm which was on a temporary reduction and it arrived with areas covered in that blue-green corrosion stuff. I am serious.
I ordered a "new" DMQ tennis bracelet that arrived scratched with a broken clasp.
That is enough. I think you get the picture. My point is, I don't think the labels - new, as is, whatever - mean anything. It is a gamble all around.
A few weeks ago, while watchiing a clearance jewelry show, the host said that clearance was "first quality." She said that "this is not somebody's return, we don't do that." I could not beleive my ears because clearly they do, without even checking the return first.
