Reminds me of a saying:

Some people know the COST of everything, but the VALUE of nothing.

Example: I don't care how you (or Rastelli, or Alberti or David V)  spin it, there is NO VALUE in 12 hot dogs,.... whether round, square or tubular, and no matter whether made from "special cow meat" (right) ....worth what QVC charges...

Come on now. If you saw them in the supermarket case, you'd shake your head and walk right by....

Of course, you can "cut them in half to feed two!!!!"  as they so brightly announce....

Another observation....People who HAVE money, usually do because they know how not to WASTE it.

Of course buy what you want, when you want. I do.

But I bet MOST people try to find the best value for thier buck for the product they are buying....and maybe 12 hot dogs made of mystery meat IS worth 69.95 (Less than 70 dollars) to them!!!

* I don't know if this is the EXACT price they are ripping off, er, charging customers this week for this particular delicacy, but you know what I mean!!!

And I gotta admit...the ridiculous food prices are very funny to watch. I try to guess before the show the price....never disappointed!!! (ALWAYS ridiculous).

I think the misconception of wealth is the wealthy just spend because they have it. Not so, they have it because as you said @Othereeeen  they know what to spend on and what to pass on. That is why they have money.

So, let’s toss out the misconception that just because a poster concludes QVC prices are outrageous, it is synonymous with their financial situation.

I for one like the way my bank accounts looks, and I prefer it there instead of lining the pockets of QVC, and their hosts.

If there was a food item I wanted. I would buy it. If I could find it at a better price you can bet I’d go the route.

I do agree that if you don’t mind spending on QVC items. Enjoy.

I wouldn’t care if I purchased a product, and every poster on this board said I was foolish etc. You just would not have that much influence or power in my life. I would continue to purchase the said product.

Why do some come with boxing gloves on convinced they are under attack and being told what to do.

Why take someone’s opinion so personally? I think that’s the question.

ITA @manny2 . Don't know why some are so easily offended by OP's post. I can afford the food and have purchased it in past but am not bothered if someone else doesn't like it, finds it too pricy (which I often agree it is), etc. They have their opinions and I may or may not agree. And to say that others are jealous because they can't afford it is ridiculous IMO.

I buy Cheryl's Cookies on a regular basis, but according to a recent yea or nay thread, I understand that is simply not a popular choice.

Oh,well...I will continue to buy and dunk them in my morning coffee and just to make sure I am okay, I had my hair stylist check my entire head for holes the other day and she assured me there aren't any! Woman Wink

I am also waiting shipment for a famous Daisy Cake for the low low price of almost $100 including $25 for shipping.

I might not have done this if i didn't trust my hair stylist explicitly.

@lgfan  It was a tough decision, but I went with the award winning lemon cake.

I have been wanting to try a Daisy Cake since Kim was on Shark Tank!

When you break down by pound how much the food costs , the prices are crazy. I would never buy a food product on qvc.

I have never, in all the years they have been QVC, bought anything but food....

never clothes, shoes, odds & ends, etc .......nothing but food.

Almost all of my meat, seafood ,etc come from Omaha but 1/3 comes from Q.

Don't care what it costs or if I can get it cheaper elsewhere........HATE grocery shopping

and averything else gets delivered.

Certainly, the Q should offer as many high priced products and as many low-priced products as they wish.

That $78.00 cake looked delicious, and it would cost me as much to buy all the ingredients for it. And if it's a poor value, you can send it back.
