I hate cooking and baking.  It's worth it to me to pay what they're asking!

It does seem like a lot for something you're just going to poop out the next day but to each their own.

@Kachina624  True, but some people are just over it when it comes to cooking.

What is too pricey for some might be a bargain to others, as long as there are folks willing to pay the price Q is going to seel them, as they should. Not my concern, I just shake my head and change the station.... LOL!!

My husband would consume the whole dozen in one day...not a good value for us.

I baked 5 dozen plus a few more soft sugar cookies last week at night before I went to bed.  They were almost all gone by the end of the next day.  The following morning, he ate the remaining six.

Our grandson ate two of them...I ate none.  A dozen cookies wouldn't last in our house.

Well, maybe they would last.  My husband doesn't like oatmeal cookies.

@Carmie and I would bet it didn't cost you 54.00 to make them. Maybe the original poster thought about the cost for 1 dozen cookies. They probably are good. Some people just won't pay that price for 12 cookies no matter how good they may be. Some folks just live by a budget and there's nothing wrong with that.

@Oldfaithful  No, they didn't cost that much, but I didn't have to pay for shipping, handling and packaging.

Today, I made apple and cherry strudel.  The dough was frozen premade.  I just thawed, filled it and rolled it up and baked it.  Unlike my MIL, I don't make strudel dough.

I guess we all have our limitations...some people don't bake at all.
