I don't have Prime, and I stil think Amazon is far superior to QVC in every way. Based on my experiences, there is no comparison.

Amazon now allows you to pay for Prime Membership on a monthly basis rather than a year.
It's interesting they've brought that back. Several years ago they had monthly payments, then they stopped. Speculation was that people were having a bunch of stuff shipped and then canceling membership with 80% of it unpaid and Amazon was being skrood. I only got Prime when they had an $80 "sale" for first-timers. Nice to know I can choose monthly if I want to.

If I see something on QVC that I like, I always check for the same item at Amazon. Shipping is cheaper and much faster, and often the item is cheaper too. When David features a cookbook, if I want it, I order it off Amazon every time. Always cheaper there. It's amazing how much QVC charges for shipping, and the shipping is so much slower. I ordered pants last weekend (Saturday) that are in stock, and as of today (Friday), they are still "in process". Pathetic.

That's my biggest gripe with the Q "in processing" 'stuff'. can take 3-4 days
figure in another week for shp from wherever to me in Tx.

I have shopped Amazon for years and for the most part have had little to complain about. Mylast 2 transactions did not go as well. With one, I dealt directly with the manufacturer vs. the Amazon seller because it was the only way I could get it resolved. With the second product, advertised as a leather wallet...well it was pleather, not leather and I am still trying to get this one resolved. With that said, I am starting to have second thoughts about Amazon

I have done that too with the cookbooks. But someone at QVC picked up on it, because the last time I tried the cookbook was available *only* at QVC at the time, not on Amazon. Sorry QVC but it didn't help. Full price plus shipping frim QVC meant I felt the cookbook wasn't worth it, and chose another gift to give, bought elsewhere.

When you buy from an Amazon seller, your purchase is protected and Amazon will go to bat for you. You can get your money back. Suggestion: stick to items shipped and sold by Amazon.

Overall, I like the prices better at Amazon, but I have to be 100% sure that I want it before I order from them because I find it's more difficult to return things or contact customer service through Amazon. The last time I tried to call, I couldn't find a phone number. I had to go to their website and enter my phone number and wait around for them to call me. I just don't like the "Don't call us, we'll call you" way of doing business even if it is 2016. I've posted previously about my trying to obtain packing slips from Amazon because I ordered items for work, and our accountant won't reimburse without a packing slip, but my Amazon packages arrived without packing slips. I kept getting routed to call centers in other countries with people who spoke broken English and never did get the packing slips. I printed online receipts marked delivered, but still got a lot of grief from the accountant. So, while I think Amazon has the best prices overall, QVC has better customer service.

They are 100% different from each other. The old apples and oranges argument.
