Re: Amazon’s newest return option....

It is so good, and so easy.  I've only had to return once, and it was last week.  Could not believe how fast, and easy.  Got the refund liteally the next day.

@Jtdmum   Guess it depends on where you live.  The UPS store nearest me in DC is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.  Some others that are located in the heavily office/business districts open as early as 7:30 a.m.

If I was still working I would be able to go after work or on Saturday.

Can you still utilize the option where UPS will pick up your return?

@Jtdmum

I'm not a fan either.  The nearest UPS store/office is 15 miles away.  I see UPS trucks on my street and there is a drop less than 1 mile from my home.  I will continue to print my own label.

Those who live close to a UPS store will probably like it.

Re: Amazon’s newest return option....

I will continue to print my labels as well.  I print them seal the package and take it to work.  UPS stops almost every day so I just give it to the driver, easy peasy, for me to get to a UPS store I would have to wait until Saturday and that is if I had nothing else to do on a Saturday. NO THANKS

I so totally hate their new policy I want my prime membership dues back.

We have no ups facility with hours outside business hours.  When you work, how do you return.  So I get to pay 6.95 to return,

I hope they tank on this one.

@Jtdmum   That's just an option that's new.  You can still print a return label for free.  If you can't figure it out, call Amazon and they'll tell you how to do it.

Re: Amazon’s newest return option....

@aroc3435 The store here is also 9a-7p.  I'm gone for work long before 9am and never return until after 7pm.

Saturdays means I have to drive about 15 minutes accross town and honestly, I my Saturdays are jammed.  I tried Staples, they aren't "allowed" to take the amazon returns for ups and not sure if they are going to be able to in the future. It's saving me lots of $$ at this point.  Between Q not refunding shipping charges and now Amazon...I'll be a wealthy uncluttered lady soon!

Re: Amazon’s newest return option....

I dropped off a QVC return at the PO 10 days ago using a QVC prepay label, and today got the email saying it was finally picked up and is in transit. That is messed up. And of course it will take another 4-7 days to arrive at the processing facility. It’s anyone’s guess when the refund will show up in my account. From the day I ordered the item to the day the refund is in my account will be at least 22 days.

Compare this to the Amazon system. In 30 minutes from the time I dropped off my return, Amazon credited my account,  and my credit posted the next day. From the day I ordered the item to the time my refund posted took just 4 days.

QVC’s return system is in need of major upgrading.

Some Kohls stores accept Amazon returns. My local Kohls just started doing it, I haven't tried it yet.

Re: Amazon’s newest return option....

I had to initiate a return today, and two new options were offered: returning at Kohl's and returning at Whole Foods, with no label required for either location. I was surprised to see those venues specifically highlighted. I still chose to print the UPS label myself.

Re: Amazon’s newest return option....

I forgot to mention that within 24 hours of taking the returned product to UPS, the credit showed on my account with Amazon. Now THAT is fast! I assumed they would want to have the item in hand, but I guess UPS having it in their hands is the same as Amazon having it.
