I have plain white Corningware pieces I've had since the late 70's.  They still look brand new, can be used on top of the stove, in the oven, and the microwave.  They are supstantial, without being too heavy.  The bottoms of them don't scratch my wood table, like Temp-tations do, even their wire carriers scratch the table!  I wouldn't take anything for my old Corningware!  They are true quality pieces you can pass down to your family!  They also mix well with any dishes I care to use.  I don't care for Temp-tations busy patterns.  I like to save patterns for my table linens, if I want to use a pattern.  I was always taught food looks best on white, and a solid is always better than a patterned dish.

Last month vintage store hit the jackpot!! Full set of Corningware!!

Re: ALL WHITE TEMPTATIONS STONEWARE

Why would they do that, when they make such a mockery about how ugly 'plain white' stoneware is in their presentations?

Seriously, there are so many great quality products that are sold in solid colors, including white.   It would be a better choice than purchasing products of such poor quality.

Re: ALL WHITE TEMPTATIONS STONEWARE

I know if I buy a Corningware piece, I have a quality item.  Temp-tations doesn't have a good reputation, of product or service.  Too many have items crack in the oven.  I've never had to worry about my boring Corningware.  It looks nice on the table, and I can depend on it.  I've read too many negative reviews about Temp-tations dishes cracking in the oven, and too many reports of sloppy jobs on the gaudy Temp-tations  Tara has never tempted me!
