Nah, just let the complainers complain. Some people have to complain to happy and QVC Hosts are doing them a favor by giving them something to complain about.

And then people would complain about how boring it is to watch the shows with everything so scripted, and no variety.
See?
You still wouldn't be able to please everyone.

Any claims have to be vetted by Legal so they already know what can and cannnot be said!
Also, a poster said that there are studies that show that for each complaint it represents a larger amount of people who have complaints - But most often there are way many more that do not agree with the complaint so the same ratio must be used with the result that the complainers are still the smallest minority!

Boy, what a boring concept! Would be lilke a robot giving color, size, material, price. The hosts and vendors interacting together is what adds interest. Otherwise would be like looking at a monontonus talking catalog. I enjoy watching the hosts and vendors in addition to the items being sold. Of course I like some more than others as does everyone.
The better solution to the constant critizing of hosts and vendors would be to eliminate the topic of hosts and vendors and keep this forum with items of interest and information as it is intended.
The hosts and vendors are just doing their job to the best of their ability. Each of us likes some but not others but no need to voice our opinions on this board. The hosts and vendors are people with feelilngs and we need to respect that. So there is no need for host/vendor topic. Better than teleprompter, robotic presentations!

Then all the shows can be pre-taped, if they are reading a script.

They could eliminate hosts altogether if they just showed the web pages on the TV screen...............

I still envision live presentations because,of the need to update viewers on size and color availability if applicable. SImply showing web pages is not sufficient because not enough detail is provided and you, still, have to "sell" the product.

I thought the original post was done tongue in cheek, but I guess it was serious?
Ok then!

There IS an alternative/happy medium. QVC could save a lot of money if they modeled their live broadcasts more after HSN and Evine. Simple sets - no need to set up entire rooms as a set. Many, many items QVC sells could be done with a table and a host and nothing else - a vendor is not always needed. Hosts and vendors who are a relatively minor part of the presentation, who tell you about the products, not themselves. At least I know that when I watch to see an item presented on HSN, I will be seeing an item presented, not 90% a set or a host or vendor and their life history, and 10% the item.
But QVC will never please everyone. There are people who watch QVC 24/7 precisely for "the show."
For me personally, if you want me to buy an item, focus on the item. I just do.not.care about the staging, sets, "glam", "girl talk", etc. Just "where's the beef?"

I wonder if the the products would be considerably cheaper and they would sell more if they didn't use hosts. I could do without the hosts.
