If you join Movie Tavern and go to the Tuesday night special movies, you get a free bag of popcorn!

Ranting about pricies is just silly.

If you cannot afford it, or do not want to spend the money, just pass on by.

BTW, I have ordered QVC popcorn for family members.

I, personally, do not eat popcorn.

However, I love Godiva chocolate, and I will always pay the price!

Re: $25 for POPCORN????

[ Edited ]

Whenever there are comical rants about food prices here, I think it's important to recognize that many of the brands,  particularly sweets and confections, are small batch self owned businesses.   That's why amounts available for sale are limited.  These small businesses owners are doing the best they can to deliver a quality product.   They aren't huge international food conglomerates with large factories.

Why the upset and outrage if you're not going to purchase it.

Many haven't yet ramped up volume which could bring costs down.  QVC exposure could help with that.

And the OP wants to think that this is just grocery store "popcorn", manufactured in a huge corporate facility, which it clearly isn't.

@: Once read an interesting article in Consumers (I think) about farmers markets. Anyway the article said they buy their products from other vendors and they are not necessarily organic, etc. Next time you are at a FM asked one of the sellers where their products come from.

I never watch food or kitchen shows but scrolling through the "items recently aired" I often see the prices of various food items.  DH and I get a good laugh and a lot of heading shaking!!!

Yes, because you know how and where to get everything they show cheaper, right?  You must also get around very easily and have no problem shopping and cooking for yourselves.  You're blessed while others might not be.

IMHO, everyone has a right to voice their opinions. It may not necessarily be your view of a product but they have found this item overpriced. For some people it is and other people it isn't.

Small businesses don't have much profit built into their items and therefore, they are fighting to survive.  So, the prices are probably higher than larger companies. I think kindness should prevail when we have a difference of opinions. It just goes a long way.

Just a thought.

3 out of 7 reviewed  and found it good. It is Pecan Caramel popcorn from.Savannah Candy Kitchen.
