Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Will it be a lucky or unlucky week thirteen?
We start out with three Thanksgiving Day games. The first up is the Packers/Lions. Both teams have seven wins and are one behind the Bears. The Packers don't score quite as much as the Lions, but their defense doesn't give up as much as the Lions. This should be a good one. I'll give a slight edge to the Lions at home.
Next up, the Chiefs take on the Cowboys. The Chiefs desperately need the win to stay in playoff contention. The Cowboys are more mathematically alive in the playoff hunt than truly alive in the playoff hunt. They'd need a lot of help to get in. They're somewhere around tenth of the seven teams that get in, and pretty much two games behind the other contenders. The Chiefs are just a game behind in the wildcard hunt, so a bit easier for them. I'll give the edge to the Chiefs in this one.
And Thanksgiving wraps up with the Bengals taking on the Ravens. Joe Burrow limps back onto the field for this one. The Bengals need to win out to get to 9-8, and the schedule makers didn't make that easy for them with the Ravens, Bills, and Ravens as their next three games. It's still possible to win the AFC North by taking down the Ravens twice and having the Steelers lose to the Bills, Ravens, and Lions. It just won't be easy. I'll give a slight edge to the Ravens in this one.
Black Friday has the Eagles in a blackout game, taking on the Chicago Bears. The Eagles will be wearing their all-black uniforms and want the fans to come dressed in black. The Bears are 8-3 (and also a minus 3 three points in point differential.) They've gotten most of their wins against lesser opponents. The Eagles are also 8-3 with a plus-thirty point differential with wins against some of the toughest teams in the league (KC, Rams, Bucs, Vikings, Packers). The Eagles haven't played anything close to a whole game all season. The offense has been good, and the defense bad, or vice versa. At some point, they're bound to put together a complete game. This could be that week. I'll take the Eagles in this one.
Sunday, and yes, there are still games left for Sunday, kicks off with the Rams at the Panthers. The Rams will be flying across the country for a one PM game, which is never easy for the West Coast teams. Will it be enough to help the Panthers get the win? Probably not, but we'll see. I'll give a slight edge to the Rams in this one, but it'll probably be closer than many expect.
The Niners take on the Shedeur Sanders, er Browns. Shedeur is now their QB du jour. He's somewhere around the two hundredth QB they've had since Bernie Kosar. The Browns draft QBs to destroy them, and the Niners will be only too happy to help in that cause. I'll take the Niners in a romp.
The Texans and Colts face off in a big AFC South matchup. The Texans are hot, and the Colts aren't as hot. It should be a fun game. I don't expect either team to run away with this one. The last team with the ball might eke out the win. I'll give a slight edge to the Colts at home.
The Saints head to Miami to take on the Flounders, er Dolphins. The Dolphins have finally shaken off the idea of playing to get the coach fired and are now playing to keep him. The Saints, well, they've got issues. I'll take the Dolphins in this one.
The Falcons and Jets face off in a game for draft position. Neither team likely cares too much if they lose, as it'll help their draft position. Kirk Cousins is playing to remind teams that he's still a viable NFL QB. I'll give a slight edge to the Falcons.
The Jaguars head to Nashville to spank the Titans. The Jags are good. The Titans? Well, not so much. I'll take the Jags.
The Vikings fly west to Seattle to say hi to their former QB, who will now spank them and remind them what they had and let slip away. I'll take Seattle in this one.
The Raiders head to LA to lose to the Chargers. Not a great start in Las Vegas this year. They need to find a real QB somewhere this offseason. I'll take the Chargers.
The Bills and Steelers face off in an interesting game. Both teams got off to good starts. Both teams have stumbled a bit lately. I still think the Bills are one of the better teams in the league, they're just not playing that way. I'll give a slight edge to the Bills in this one.
The Broncos and Commanders face off Sunday night. The Broncos are playing very well. The Commanders, not so much. I'll take the Broncos.
And on Monday night, the Giants get to implode on national TV against the Patriots. Uh, NFL? Whatever happened to flexing games? This is a game that's not ready for prime time. I'll take the Patriots in a romp.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

We are at "lucky" number WEEK 13 in the NFL Season....well, lucky for some teams anyway...There are some "stinkers" on this week's schedule too!....Lets make some predictions

PACKERS VS LION---While many are finalizing preparations for their dinner, they may also take a few moments to check out the game. Goff, the Lions QB, struggled a bit, luckily the Lions defense woke up to stop the bleeding and the team made a come back to secure a win! The Packers defense stifled the young Vikings QB, JJ McCarthy, and the Packer fans wrote thank you notes to Jerry Jones for Micah Parsons! This game is a coin flip, I'll guess I'll take the LIONS at home, I like Goff over Jordan Love too at the QB spot. 🦁
CHIEFS VS COWBOYS--Personally, I dont like either team, but given the choice of an overhyped Dak Prescott versus Patrick Mahomes who actually has won games against real competition, I'll take Patrick every time!! Theres also the Chiefs defense vs the Cowboy's 🤠 so called defense. CHIEFS for the WIN as the team moves forward on their quest for the playoffs!!!
BENGALS VS RAVENS---Bengals Coach Zach Taylor expects QB Joe Burrow to play, yeh, Joe needs to help save Zach Taylor's job!!! Meanwhile, Ravens QB, Lamar Jackson, is questionable with a toe injury, if he cant go it will be Tyler Huntley at QB, Cooper Rush was demoted! I'm going with the upset and going with the BENGALS and Joe Cool!!! GEAUX TIGERS! 🐯
BEARS VS EAGLES--So whats wrong with the Eagles??? Yes, they've had injuries, but to blow a lead against the Cowboys and a struggling defense is mind boggling. And they still havent found a way to return RB Barkley to form!!! The Bears won a close one against the Aaron Rodgerless Steelers. I'm looking for the EAGLES to have a bounce back game, the fear of their own home crowd of Eagle fans will be enough of a fear factor!!! FLY EAGLES FLY! 🦅
RAMS VS PANTHERS! Just when you thought the Panthers were on the upswing, they ran into the 49ers and managed only 9 measly points, despite 49ers QB, Brock Purdy, trying to help them with his 3 interceptions! Now the Panthers face what many are calling the best team in the NFL, the Rams! The RAMS in an easy one! 🐏
49ers VS BROWNS-- Even with a short week, regardless of who the Browns put in at QB, 49ers WIN!!!
TEXANS VS COLTS!!! This should be a heck of a game!!! The Texans defense is formidable, but QB CJ Stroud is still questionable to return. Their offensive line is also a weakness. The Colts lost a close one in overtime to the desperate Chiefs team which was a must win game for them. But I think the COLTS with RB JonathanTaylor and the fact the Colts are at home will give them a slight edge enough for a win in this one!!! 🐎
SAINTS VS DOLPHINS---Dolphins have shown some life and are coming off their bye week. Every week is a bye week for the Saints as they strive for that top draft spot! DOLPHINS get the WIN! 🐬
FALCONS VS JETS--Despite QB Kirk Cousins return and 37.9 QBR Rating, the Falcons still won!!! The Jets were the same ole Jets and will be the same ole team again! The FALCONS get another win!
CARDINALS VS BUCS---Well the Cardinals did put up a fight but once again came out the loser against the Jaguars. With a left shoulder sprain it looks like the Buc's QB, Baker Mayfield, is still likely to play. The Bucs need this game to stay ahead of the Panthers in the Division. I'm taking the BUCS!
JAGUARS VS TITANS--- The Titans actually had a close loss, while the Jaguars had another close win and are one game behind the Colts. I dont know how they are doing it, but JAGUARS will get another "W"!🐆
VIKINGS VS SEAHAWKS ---The Vikings QB JJ McCarthy isn't getting it done, and with him in concussion protocol it looks like Max Brosmer, who??? will start at QB. We go from a pretender to a contender with the Seahawks who are battling it out in the strong NFC West with the Rams and 49ers! SEAHAWKS with an easy victory!!!
RAIDERS VS CHARGERS---Even as banged up as the CHARGERS are, it should be an easy win against the lowly Raiders!
BILLS VS STEELERS---The Bills felt the wrath of that Texan defense and not even the mighty Josh Allen could right the "ship". The Bills need this win and so do the Steelers who find them neck and neck with the Ravens for the Division! QB Aaron Rodgers is expected back for the Steelers! I think Josh will turn it around for the BILLS and get the WIN!!! (BTW Skip that Hallmark movie HOLIDAY TOUCHDOWN A BILLS LOVE STORY--(and no, its not about newlyweds Josh and his wife, Hailee-- its just a lousy movie about Bill's fans.)🐃
BRONCOS VS WASHINGTON---I cant believe this game wasn't flexxed out of prime time especially without QB Jayden Daniels not starting for Washington!!! Yes, it will be Washington's motley crew up against a strong Bronco's defense, although Bronco's QB, Bo Nix, hasnt been "all that" on offense! Washington did get a new kicker, that's good news, but the BRONCOS are the better team and should prevail! The weather might make it interesting with a 45% chance of nighttime snow for Landover, MD! ❄ ⛄
GIANTS VS PATRIOTS--- Somehow, someway the Giants find themselves in their games but always find a way to lose!!!! The Patriots keep rolling along but some point to their easy schedule, and find themselves in a 3 game lead over the Bills!!!---Thats right folks, who would've though it! Patriots QB Drake Maye may not be Tom Brady, but he's playing well !!! PATRIOTS get another win!!!
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!

I am rooting for another Denver Bronco win on Sunday. I have been a fan for fifty one years and a season ticket holder for thirty nine! Best season we have had in eight years. I am also rooting for the KC Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes is a great QB!

Nice to meet a loyal fan, good luck to the Broncos, my Washington team doesn't have much of a chance......Any opponent of the Cowboys is who I'm cheering for, hoping the Chiefs get a win over our arch rival, the Cowboys!![]()

Jason Garrett will replace Cris Collinsworth on Thanksgiving night. Mike Tirico and Melissa Stark will be the other reporters in the Bengals-Ravens game. No reason was given for the change.
C.J. Stroud is trending towards playing Sunday. The Texans expect him to practice today. Houston should also be getting their DE Jalen Pitre back. Both players still need to clear the final steps in concussion protocol.
Rumors are starting that JJ McCarthy's concussion is really a cover up for him being benched. If that was true, it seems that the Vikings could be in trouble for falsifying reports. I don't see the team doing that, but McCarthy might not be the answer to their QB situation.

They said the reason for NBC's replacing Cris Collinsworth with Jason Garrett is because Collinsworth doesnt work Thanksgiving 🦃.....Cris better watch it, viewers may like Garrett over him and it might become a permanent replacement when his contract is up 🙄

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I'll be spending part of the day at a friend's house and watching the rest of the football games after.
Simone will get some Temptations treats mixed with her regular food. I tried giving her a little bit of turkey in the past, but she doesn't care about people food. She prefers canned Friskies with xtra gravy and Surf & Turf or Meow Mix.
I put up my table tree and living room window lights. I've gone small with decorations in the past couple years.
Enjoy the games!

My cats dont really like human food either....they love their Purina dry food and Sheba cuts in gravy, cats love that gravy...the only human food they like is bacon, but I dont even eat it very often.....
Yep, I put my Christmas stuff up too last weekend, except for the Christmas wreath on my front door , which I'll do tommorrow, and I've downsized to a smaller size tree too, and concentrated on fewer decorations in the living room, dining room kitchen...but it still looks nice and festive....ive been listening to Christmas music too ![]()
