Several members of the Colts organization tested positive for COVID, so they closed their facility and are working remotely while they confirm the tests. The people who tested weren't named.

We should find out in a few days whether the game will be played or rescheduled. So far, ten teams have had schedules disrupted because of this. Stay tuned.

False positives have been pretty common with the Jets just having such an event. That may be the case with the Colts too. We'll have to see. The PCR testing tends to yield quite a few false positives, so the backup testing the league requires can better determine what's going on.

Nick Saban has tested positive which is likely killing him (not literally) with their big game against Georgia coming up. He says he feels great, but keeping him contained will be a challenge for their medical staff. They may need a padded cell to hold him in until he's cleared.

The good news is the shedding time for the virus is now pretty much confirmed to be under ten days. After ten days you're returned to the wild and safe to be around. For someone with Nick Saban's personality, it'll be a long ten days.

The NFL is likely to have to add an extra week or two to the schedule. As the rest of the season gets shorter the schedule flexibility gets less and less. Most of the rescheduled games so far have been teams before their bye. A bit of shuffling here and there has been able to move the byes around and keep to the seventeen-week schedule, but as more and more teams have their bye those windows will close.

Well at least the NFL seems well organized and has good backup plans to deal with Covid positives.....But you know what the worst scenario is....that the only NFL game available to watch this weekend is the WFT vs Giants...🤣🤣🤣

Yep, I bet Nick has had to be restrained---LOL!!!  There have been some exciting college games this season---The River City Shootout--Texas/OU (Quadruple Overtime!). Texas A&M upset Florida, Mississippi State over LSU...etc etc....

Game on! The tests turned out to be false positives. After re-testing, everyone was negative. This is going to be an ongoing problem in the NFL this year. The schedule handlers must be going crazy trying to figure out how to work all the games in.

With all the QB sacks from last week's game, supposedly the WFT will make a change at guard and start rookie Saahdig Charles ....To quote a song lyric---"things can only get better"..good song from the 80's by Howard Jones Smiley Wink

Aaron Donald said he was surprised he was only single teamed by the WFT defense!  And the WFT will be experimenting with new personnel groupings on defense....One bright spot on the defense has been Kendall Fuller. Fuller has been fantastic and hauled in three interceptions already and been one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL, according to PFF.

The WFT claimed DE Casey Toohill off waivers. Philly had cut him Tuesday. According to Next Gen Stats, Toohill received a score of 99 for his athleticism among linebackers at the scouting combine. The Eagles drafted Toohill in the seventh round and moved the 6-foot-5, 255-pounder to end. General manager Howie Roseman praised his explosiveness and motor in camp.

Getting back to Haskins benching even Haskin's friend, WR Terry McLaurin said   "You've got to be honest with yourself. You have to ask yourself what you can do better and attack it from there. Nothing is going to be handed to you. Nobody is going to feel sorry for you, either."

Re: Week Six of the 2020 NFL Regular Season!!!

Casey Toohill is a guy the Eagles hoped to sneak through waivers to put on the practice squad. He's raw as heck, but has potential. He needs to get stronger as an NFL DE. That's why he was around in round se

The false positives are something of a nightmare. The NFL was very smart in not over-reacting to a single set of tests.

The Eagles will be using yet another new offensive line combo this week as our right guard Matt Pryor is out this week. DeSean Jackson may finally wander back onto the field. He's reportedly healthy again. For now anyway. The Ravens reportedly have had trouble covering tight ends this year, so Zach Ertz may break out of his slump this week. DeSean could help with that by forcing the Ravens to pick their poison. Doubling both Ertz and DeSean is challenging for a defense.

And forget what I just said about DeSean being back this week. He's now been ruled out.

RAVENS and REDSKINS fans......new stadium rules......

Here are the guidelines for various outdoor venues, according to the governor's newly amended executive order:

  • Fewer than 2,500 capacity: Up to 50 percent of permitted occupancy or up to 250 people.
  • At least 2,500-persons capacity: Up to 10 percent maximum occupancy.
  • Certain collegiate outdoor sporting venues: Up to 25 percent capacity.

Face coverings will still be required at all outdoor sporting and entertainment venues, and tailgating is prohibited due to social distancing requirements that mandate 6 feet of distance between people.

Re: Week Six of the 2020 NFL Regular Season!!!

Another week, another new offensive line combination for the Eagles. Matt Pryor our fill-in right guard is now out due to Covid-19 protocols. (I don't think he's tested positive, he's just been around someone who did.) Jamon Brown is taking his place. Right tackle Lane Johnson is out with his eternally bad ankle this week so rookie Jack Driscoll is starting at right tackle. Our sole surviving backup tackle is Brett Toth who we just picked up recently from the Cards when they cut him loose. I would guess there's a decent chance rookie Prince Tega-Wanogha gets elevated from the practice squad as a spare tackle. Yeah, it should be interesting to see how this combination meshes. Run, Carson run! (In an odd twist, Brandon Brooks of the torn Achilles fame is looking pretty close to returning. He's posted a video of himself doing 32" vertical leaps. That would tend to imply his Achilles is pretty much healed. We could actually get back a starting offensive lineman! Who knew that could happen?)

I still think the Eagles have a decent shot in this game. The Ravens haven't done a good job of covering tight ends this year. Zach Ertz must be getting tired of people wanting Julie Ertz (his soccer star wife) to replace him in the lineup. This could be/should be the week he wakes up and starts to play like he's capable of playing. (I hope. If not let's keep Julie on speed dial.)

With Travis Fulgham and Greg Ward, the Eagles have a pair of wide receivers Wentz trusts who both somehow manage to get open and catch the football. Who knew Eagles wide receivers could do that? If Ertz can shake off his doldrums, and those two guys still find a way to catch the ball, and our offensive line remembers to occasionally block someone, this could be a winnable game.

With games coming up against the Giants, Cowboys, and Giants again, there's a chance for the Eagles to get on a bit of a roll here before running into the Browns, Packers, Seahawks, Saints, Cardinals Cowboys, and WFT. A win against the Ravens then add in wins against the Giants and Cowboys and the Eagles could find themselves at 5-3-1 before hitting that tough stretch of the season against the Browns, Packers, Seahawks, Saints, and Cards. Eke out a couple of wins there (Browns? Cards?) and they'd be at 7-6-1 with games against the Cowboys and WFT to finish things out. A 9-6-1 final record isn't out of the question and could win the NFC East with a game or two (maybe three?) to spare. Heck, 8-7-1 might be good enough to win the East this year.

This will be an interesting weekend of football. How does Andy Dalton look as a full-time starter for the Cowboys? (JJ in a less than ringing endorsement has told Cowboys fans to lower their expectations. Uh, sure. That's just what the replacement QB wants to hear.) Can the Cowboy defense find the field long enough to make a play against the Cardinals? (I'm not optimistic about a read and react defense going against a fast-paced, spread attack offense. "Let's see now, they have three wide receivers, one there, one there, and one here. Which one should I be covering? Oh yeah, that one standing in the endzone with the ball in his hands celebrating. Oops!") We have three mercurial QBs playing this week who are highly unpredictable in Foles, Fitzpatrick, and Cam Newton. Which, if any, will be hot this week?

It's going to be a fun weekend to watch the old TV and see how things play out. An Eagles win before our packed stadium (okay, well 7,500 fans but it's better than none) would do wonders for the local fandom.

WOW!!! You can never under estimate Jerry Jones and his BIG MOUTH 🤣🤣🤣.... Im sure Dak's agent is making a recording of that for future contract negotiations---Hey fans---"lower their expectations" because Andy Dalton's no Dak Prescott....thats what Jerry is implying....From a purely business standpoint thats not good Jerry....

I hadnt heard that....hang on to your ear buds...this is what one sports talk guy said here....that Dalton was actually BETTER than Dak.....🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂 SMH!!!  Hypnotized by the Star on the helmet I guess!
