@Spurt - first of all, congrats to your team on the win! The first half made me nervous as it wasn't looking good but then they turned it around!
Thanks for that info on the Sunday night shows - really, what could they say as the Cowboys are awful. And loved what Don said as he thinks they'll have another bad year next year! And David's comments? Really?? He admits to it - this time!
Sorry the Spurs lost - ugh! I wonder if we'll ever see the days they used to have. How great were those years but then I don't think they'll ever have that group of players like they did back then. Just so happy they have Wemby, as long as he can stay healthy and injury free!

That Niners/Lions game had everything but defense. The only two real plays made by a defense were the Purdy interceptions and they weren't really defensive plays as Purdy just threw the ball to them.
The Lions are apt to run into trouble if/when they face a team in the playoffs that plays defense. You can't count on always outscoring an opponent. It'll be interesting to see how they do against the Vikings on Sunday night.
Nick Sirianni says he's undecided on playing the starters this week. I'm pretty sure he won't. He took Saquon out of the game this past week after he reached the 2,000 yard milestone. I think if he was going to have Saquon get the record he'd have kept him in that game to get a few more yards. Saquon says he doesn't care if he gets it or not, and the risk/reward may favor not playing him this week and getting him fully healthy and ready for the playoffs.
I suspect this will be a Tanner McKee led game on Sunday with a lot of backup players starting. Running back Will Shipley may get a chance to show what he can do. The offensive line is likely to be some combination of Trevor Keegan, Nick Gates, Tyler Steen, Fred Johnson, and Darian Kinnard. Wide receivers will likely be Jahan Dotson, Ainias Smith, and Johnny Wilson with EJ Jenkins at tight end. Probably activate a few guys from the practice squad for the game also.
A strategic loss to the Giants would be good for the Eagles as it would slide the GIants farther back in the draft order. We'll have to see how both teams play it on Sunday. I doubt that the Eagles will pay the starters at all, or maybe just for a half if they do. A rest week for the starters before the playoffs start is best though.

@Spurt I appreciate your response to my question. I don't plan on abandoning the Colts, even though it gets frustrating at times. I don't have it in me to discard my Colts banners and apparel.
The team needs to make organizational changes next year. Get a new defensive coordinator, maybe new general manager would help. Ballard hasn't shown me much in the past few years. I'm OK with Shane Steichen for now. Jim Irsay needs to evaluate the team and do what's best. The thing is, his idea of what's best isn't the same as others think. He has health problems, maybe step down and let others take over?
I'm staying away from the Colts forum for awhile. It's too much doom and gloom. There are good points made, but I find the whole thing overwhelming and I don't need that.
I want the Lions to win the division and #1 seed. The Vikings are very good, but I don't have a soft spot for them like I do the Lions. Besides, my brother in law is a Lions fan. My sister is even getting on the bandwagon and she hasn't been much of a football fan.

I'm glad you're a loyal COLT'S fan! Sometimes all the negativity will bring you down....been there, experienced that!!! Hang in there, take a break from Colt's social media..If Irsay's health is bad would a family member take over the franchise or would it be sold?
I'm hoping the LIONS win the Super Bowl, I like Coach Dan Campbell and their players too!!! I read that the majority of NFL fans are cheering on the Lions if their team isn't in the mix
My second choice is the Bills .....sorry Eagle fans...

Even I, a diehard Vikings fan, will be rooting for the Lions if my team can't get the win.
Go NFC North!

Ezekiel Elliott asked for his release and the Cowboys said, "See ya!"
Elliott thinks he'll get a chance with a playoff team. Eh, probably not. Maybe the Commanders with Dan Quinn?

And sending all your kitties a big hug too!
Looking forward to more fun, informative, and interesting conversations.
I admire the Eagles in several aspects --- they have the best GM in the NFL, a decent owner, and PASSIONATE fans....even though they are our rivals, I don't view them in the same light as the Cowboys 🤠 or even my sister's Giants!!!--- the Eagles🦅are a respected rival....Although the "body bag" game still is a bit of a sore spot with me ...LOL
AND @PARedbird GO SPURS GO!!! They annihilated the Clippers last night 122 to 86...of course former Spur, Kawhi Leonard was out...hurt as usual!!! Some call it the "Spur's Curse"....

I think its LAUGHABLE ---Jerry along with Zeke Elliott himself thinking he has a chance to hook up with a playoff team.....lol...this guy is DONE and has little left in the tank, PLUS he's a scumbag as a person too... Dan Quinn better NOT even think about it....I'd rather have RB Alfred Morris come out of retirement LOL....(being sarcastic)
