Well if Lombardi says that Doug Pederson is the most unqualified coach he's ever seen.........I guess he missed the Redskin's Steve Spurrier who came to the team fresh from the college ranks and spent more time on the golf course than he did watching film or game planning....Then there was Jim Zorn who was supposed to be the QB Coach and groom the QB, but he was made the head coach when Dan Snyder had a change of mind about hiring Gregg Williams as the head coach, so he offered the job to Zorn...........it was the year Joe Gibbs left after his second tour as the Redskin's coach and he took a rag tag not very talented team to the playoffs....with Zorn the Redskins were terrible.. Woman Frustrated

@Spurt

We were still living in the Washington, DC metro area during the reigns of Spurrier, Zorn, etc.

Remember a funny and revealing story about Spurrier that quoted his wife as saying how after a bad loss from the Redskins, Spurrier would sit and just stare at the Weatherscan TV channel for hours and hours.....That is the one that plays music endlessly while showing different weather graphics in a continuous loop.

So from then on we have referred to the Weatherscan channel as the Steve Spurrier station. Woman Wink

LOL!!!!  Too funny thanks for sharing that story! Woman LOL

I dont know why he was so worried he was probably checking out the weather channel to see if he could go golfing....there was a big question as to whether Spurrier resigned first or whether Snyder fired him........and egos got in the way.   Spurrier stated he planned to return the following year, Snyder said Spurrier complained about the personnel and coaching staff (although most of the coaches were also from SC so Snyder said that was on Spurrier)....although Spurrier was working with former GM Vinny and Spurrier has my sympathies regarding that)!!!
