Josh Gordon was picked up on waivers by the Seahawks....interesting move....
Well Haskins will get the start against the Bills.(Case hasnt cleared concussion protocol)...Some fans wondered gee what did McCoy do to Callahan to get him totally ignored....at least McCoy knows the playbook.... Maybe they want to see what they got in Haskins now to help them determine whether they need to go back to the drawing board and pick yet another QB in the draft.....
And the team will be without the following folks:
Washington will play without TE Vernon Davis (concussion), S Deshazor Everett (ankle), QB Case Keenum (concussion), S Montae Nicholson (ankle), and RB Chris Thompson (toe) in Buffalo. DT Treyvon Hester (elbow) is listed as questionable.
Our secondary is in BIG trouble...

Lets change the discussion to better teams.....here's 8 teams that the media is picking to reach the Super Bowl--
Patriots
Chiefs
Packers
Saints
49ers
Seahawks
Raiders 2 votes ??????
Cowboys 1 vote and guess who it was their former Cowboy VP of player personnel and member of Cowboys Ring Of Honor, Gil Brandt no bias the....LOL
They did pick the Colts to make the playoffs....
I'd say 49'ers, Saints, Packers, and NE have the best chances.

It's game day! Yea! The Eagles face the Bears today in a rare home game. Who knew the Eagles still played an occasional game in Philly? Thankfully with the World Series now behind us, the Eagles will be playing more home games.
This matchup with the Bears looks pretty good for the Eagles. Mitchell Trubisky (he doesn't like to be called Mitch) has been kind of horrible this year. The Eagles game plan is obviously to shut down the running game, something they're very good at generally, and force Trubisky to beat them by throwing the ball. If things play out as hoped, he won't be able to beat the Eagles through the air. The Bears used a lot of double moves on us last year in the playoffs and will likely try to do so again this year. Our DB's tend to be a bit aggressive jumping the first move and get beat deep, but hopefully, they'll be aware this week and play smarter.
On offense, expect to see Jordan Howard of the Eagles dragging Bears down the field on a routine basis. The former Bear is looking forward to this game and he's sort of a combination running back/bulldozer. He just plows through defenders like they're not there. Last week Doug Pederson put both Howard and Miles Sanders in the backfield together a time or two and it was pretty darn effective. I'd expect to see more of that today. Last week Howard was the lead blocker for Sanders on a long run and I suspect they'll try flipping that this week and have Sanders be the lead blocker for Howard.
DeSean Jackson is back this week, but not up to full speed just yet. He'll likely force the Bears to adapt their defense to account for him even at less than full speed. Our other receivers haven't really been getting deep on anyone, other than Agholor who then never catches the ball. (Ugh!) I think we're now up to four dropped long touchdown passes from Agholor this year. Two of which would have been game-winners. Most guys on the final year of their contract try to put up big numbers to improve their market, Agholor isn't most guys. He seems intent on driving down his market value in free agency and he's succeeding brilliantly.
Eagles wide receivers should be flourishing in this offense as teams double cover Zach Ertz and often rotate a safety to either Goedert or more recently Miles Sanders coming out of the backfield. Alshon and Agholor are largely single-covered on most plays with no help for the DB, but they just aren't producing. Mack Hollins, our young speedster, has all but disappeared. He's on the field a lot but never gets open or catches a pass. To be fair to Alshon he is playing through an early-season injury, but that doesn't explain the troubles the rest of the receivers have been having.
This figures to be a low scoring game. The Eagles have more potential to put up a big score, but they'll need the receivers to wake up to do so. Expect to see a lot of Jordan Howard carrying the football today as he'll want to remind the Bears what they're missing.

The Jets asking price from the Cowboys for Jamal Adams was reportedly either Zach Martin, Tyron Smith, or a first and two second-round picks. The Jets were aiming high. Kudos to them. Apparently, Joe Douglas wants to rebuild the Jets from the offensive line outwards. Taking a chance to possibly get one of two pro bowl caliber offensive linemen was enough to motivate him to listen to offers for Adams. The Cowboys obviously felt the price was too high.

And the Trent Williams saga continues..... On Friday NFL Network Analyst Charlie Casserly (a one time GM with the Redskins 1989-1999 and then GM for the Texans 2000-2006) said this ....
Williams was told three years ago that the growth on his head should be tested and added that the player never scheduled the procedure. Casserly also suggested Williams' holdout was financially related.......
The NFLPA jumped all over Cass and called what he said misinformation and said this was repeated on the NFL's own network and designed to tarnish Trent William's reputation. The NFLPA has been in touch with Trent and his agent and supports Trents and his rights and are considering potential action if this campaign against Trent continues...They also said we understand that Trent wants to put this all behind him, not relive a painful experience....
Williams did say he told the team before the season that he wanted guaranteed money in the final two years of his contract -- neither of which were guaranteed.
STAY TUNED.....

The Eagles got the win, but it wasn't all that pretty. Malcolm Jenkins forgot to go deep on defense yet again and left our corner who was expecting safety help all alone. It gave the Bears a 50+ yard completion and momentum, but we still eked out the win. Alshon had three drops, two of them on third down passes and the Eagles wide receivers just look slow and clumsy. Still, a win heading into the bye is better than a loss. I'll take it.
