Re: Week Four Of The NFL Preseason 2019

The Raiders claimed DeShon Kizer, formerly of Green Bay. That gives Gruden four QB's on the roster. Something's up there. Trade him back to the Packers maybe? I think the Packers probably took the chance on him slipping through waivers, then throw someone on the DL and bring back Kizer. It didn't work if that was the plan.

Re: Week Four Of The NFL Preseason 2019

Some good news for the Eagles is a few of the guys who were on the bubble and likely to be claimed slid through and can be signed to the practice squad now. Boston Scott, Treyvon Hester (who blocked the playoff field goal in Chicago,) Josh Adams, and Greg Ward all made it through waivers uncalimed. Why those guys didn't get claimed but Brett Toth did is a bit of a mystery, but we'll take it. Long term, Toth really didn't have a roster spot on the Eagles with Andre Dillard as the left tackle of the future and Jordan Mailata holding down the right tackle of the future roles. He'd have likely been a backup for a bit. It's potentially good for him to go to Arizona if they have a competent coaching staff to groom him. He's going to need a lot of work though.

The Eagles are signing former Giants QB Kyle Lauletta to the practice squad. He'll be milked for any intel he can give the Eagles on the Giants roster and plans.

And the Cowboys are signing former Eagles QB Clayton Thorson. They'll be looking for intel from him, but by the time the Eagles play the Cowboys, most of his info will be out of date.
