Where else can you hear a cacophony of birdsongs while a nerve-racking competition amidst a crowd of thousands plays out? And it's all with a backdrop of the vibrant colors of azaleas. I just love golf, because no matter if your favorite wins or loses, the walk is beautiful!

That has to be the most beautiful golf course in the world, however, the azaleas appear to be past their prime with many blossoms being on the ground. Climate change?
I think they need a "spotter" to identify the birds you hear. I keep wondering what kind they are.
I, who know little about golf, have been glued to this game for almost 5 hours. Looks like the best guy is going to win. It has been very exciting.

@Kachina624 I was thinking the same thing about the birds. I have a friend who is an avid birder, and I thought about texting him. They may not be birds native to my area. That one birds with the persistent triple call would get on my nerves if I were trying to concentrate. Yes, someone needs to identify them. And, I am rooting for Scottie as well.

Yes, I’ve been enjoying watching and so glad “we’re back”. Would love to have been there in person. Beauty abounds...

We have a poster on the board, can't remember who, who says she goes every year.

I find it so relaxing, from the scenery, to the sound of the swings, the golf claps, the bird song, not to mention some really good shots and watching the golfers progress through through the four days. Looks quite rainy and cold there, but always nice when the sun starts shining later in the day. Very enjoyable.

@GenXmuse It was so windy yesterday, but this afternoon was just beautiful!

The golf course is spectacular. The first day the azaleas had a good number of blooms. I think the strong winds, cold temperatures, and an early bloom did a number on them as play progressed through the week.
The mental strength and physical endurance displayed by Tiger Woods these past four days was amazing. He explained that he is in constant pain 24/7. He had to take an ice bath every day at the conclusion of his play and another at the beginning of his next day of play. His gait was different. He had to adjust his swing to compensate for his damaged leg. He could not get in his old position to line up putts.. He used a golf club walking between holes somewhat like a cane. At the conclusion of today's round he was shown with his family. He could hardly walk.

WOW! That poster needs to be connected to get in to the Masters! My brothers have been to practice rounds, but never to the finals. I went to the Open one year at Pinehurst when Tiger was in his hayday. It was OK, but I'm 5'2", and it was a struggle to see anything. I finally set myself down in the grandstands at 18, and that was enjoyable. I would rather watch it on TV.

The Masters is the only major sporting event I would like to go to even for just the practice rounds. The course is spectacular. I wonder if they give tours of it during the year.
