Re: That certainly didn't pan out like anyone thought

That Kansas City team that played in yesterday's Super Bowl did not make it to the Super Bowl as many times as they have (7) and won as many times as they have (4) by playing like they played yesterday.

And be careful what you see online. AI is running rampant with fake videos.

And speaking of videos, I need to find the Taylor Swift video where she got booed. I didn't see it yesterday.

I saw it and heard it but I couldn't make out that it was a booing sound. Does anyone know why she was being booed? I also saw a really bad fight in Philadelphia with the police involved.  It was during a Philadelphia Eagles celebration. They won, why are they fighting amongst each other?

@monicakm  being a chiefs fan, i would think you would know all about Tay Tay.

she lives outside of PHilly and raised an Eagles fan.  this has been explained in your post and another.

are you throwing shade again?  OMG! a fight in the city with police involved.  Only in Philly since we are known for that!

stop that, it happens in many cities.  do your research before making those types of comments

in L.A.:  they set a bus on fire, threw fireworks at police after a W.S. win

S.F.:  bottles thrown at police, shootings and stabbings

in the 90's after the Bulls won three straight:  rioting leading to hundreds of arrests.

yes, it mostly happens in big cities:   big cities = more people!!

Last year in your city:  1 dead and 21 others injured by gunfire at Chiefs S.B. parade.

so stop with ALL the Sour Grapes.

you lost, get over it.

i will take fights over shootings any day of the week.

@monicakm  Have you forgotten about the Chiefs parade last year.  Hears a reminder "

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — On Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024, celebration turned to deadly chaos when a mass shooting unfolded as a rally to celebrate the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl LVIII victory ended.

The shooting killed beloved Kansas City DJ and mother Lisa Lopez-Galvan and injured over 20 others, many of whom were children."

Then don't let us forget about the 2 men who were found frozen to death outside a "friends house".

Horrible things happen everywhere in the name of celebration.

@monicakm    I can assure you the Chiefs weren't trying to lose.  The Eagles came to play.  Unfortunately the Chiefs offensive line which has not been good for a few years was pathetic.  Mahomes was sacked 5 times abd threw several interceptions,  I am a die hard Chiefs fan, but they were outplayed and the Eagles deserved to win,  as sad as I may be.

@Teddixat A long time ago Oklahoma played in some bowl game, don't remember which, and we were playing some team everyone kept saying had better players.

One of our players was being interviewed and the reporter asked him how it feels to be playing a team that everyone knows has better players.

The OU player looked at him and laughed and said "Well, those better players better come ready to play, 'cause WE ARE!"  And OU won.  I have always remembered him and thought he had what it takes!

THAT'S exactly what I was seeing too! Although I think @stevieb made an excellent point in how close the wins were of the season, I had to ask myself what the heck was happening on the field. It was NOT the team I saw all year! PLUS... I was shocked at ALL the extremely unfortunate things that were happening, all at once, at the Super Bowl no less! But, they will learn and move forward.

Search Taylor Swift being boo'd and there are different sources now because so many people were looking for it. She definitely looked surprised... I wonder if she has never been boo'd before lol.

NO CLUE AT ALL. That behavior is beyond anything acceptable! Think about it... we were witnessing videos capturing people taking down traffic lights then breaking them apart, stomping on them.... turning over garbage dumpsters.... fighting with police and each other.... setting fire to a bunch of things.... for what???

I find that behavior totally destructive to society in general teaching young kids that's acceptable (in their home town to boot) and not what I would expect from a WINNING team! Can you even imagine would they would be doing if they lost????

No excuses for the destruction of someone else's property or all the fights breaking out. I expect better. I hope arrests are made and they are prosecuted. There is no excuse.

But two wrongs don't make a right. All this nonsense should be prosecuted. I can't imagine how scared I would be if all this was happening in front of my home, a home we work hard to keep nice, and everything in our yard was destroying due to a "celebration". Shaking my head, I just don't accept any of that behavior. I want better for the little ones watching, so they will be better, so our society will be better.
