From USA Today:

Amid concerns of playing college football during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Southeastern Conference is pressing on and will announce its 2020 football schedule Monday on SEC Network.

In July, the SEC established that its teams would play a 10-game conference-only schedule with Week 1 set to begin Sept. 26. The championship game is scheduled for Dec. 19 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

The conference-only schedule eliminates big rivalry games like Clemson and South Carolina, Florida and Florida State, and Georgia and Georgia Tech.

How to watch 2020 schedule announcement

SEC Network will be airing a special show to discuss the football season in its entirety.

When: 7 p.m.ET/ 6 p.m. CT on Monday

TV: SEC Network

It's about the money, but if they can play and keep the teams healthy, I know lots of people will be happy.

It is all about the money.  We don't watch all these games so we don't really care if they can play or not.

There's more to life than sports.

All businesses are about the money.  That's why so many are shutting down, including favorite restaurants.  Money.  So what?

I say good for them and I'll be watching.

@ThinkingOutLoud Week 1 has been announced.  The full schedule will be announced this evening.  Is Missouri in the SEC?  I didn't realize that if they are.

I wish them well and hope it works for them.  Very sad to see the Big Ten conference won't be playing this year.

I really hope it goes well! Sports have a way of uniting people. Sometimes people who have nothing else in common can bond over a sport. Let's go SEC!
