The Redskins and Broncos are reportedly very close to finalizing a deal for Case Keenum. That's interesting. Kind of pricey for the Redskins. Keenum's pretty expensive with a $19+ million cap hit in 2019.

WOW!!! When Vikes signed Kirk, Keenum cut, and before the Redskins signed Alex SmithI I thought for sure the Redskins would sign Keenum....how are the Redskins gonna be able to afford him?????...We only have $17 mill in cap space....
UPDATE: Not official until Wednesday---Here's the details Redskins sent a sixth rounder to Denver in 2020, with Redskins getting the Broncos’ seventh-rounder in 2020. Keenum, who was currently slated to count $21 million against the Broncos' salary cap for the 2019 season, has reworked his contract and will be on a one-year deal with the Redskins, sources told Schefter.
Both the Redskins and Broncos split Keenum's contract, with Washington on the hook for $3.5 million. Denver, meanwhile, will save $3 million. Keenum will compete with McCoy for the starting job---Im happy with that deal. Keenum had no offensive line in Denver, 3 were on IR, and offense struggled, coach fired...Now more urgent for Skins to re-sign Schreff....
Well here's news on a fav player on both of our teams.....49ers declined option on Pierre Garcon....too many injuries....

Keenum and Colt McCoy are pretty much the same guy, so that's an interesting pickup. Keenum apparently didn't think there would be a market for him if he got released. Agreeing to take a pay cut from $18-21 million (depending on who you listen to) to only $7 million is kind of a big pay cut. I like Case and his wife. They were featured a bit on Amazon's show following the Rams a few years ago. He doesn't really scare me though. The Redskins are a bit short on offensive playmakers around Keenum/McCoy.

Case and Cousins basically the same player LOL....Vikings stats for both---
CASE KIRK
Yes, Ive seen in depth TV interviews ith Case and read a nice interview in Sports Spectrum magazine.....Case is a great guy....
Redskins DO need to beef up the talent on offense, that's why we need all our draft picks.....

They said this might not be all the Redskins QB moves, still might do the Rosen deal........
And RGIII had to make a snarky comment on Twitter about the Keenum deal----
"That’s definitely what the fans wanted"
Did he think the Redskin fans wanted him back?????? Hail No!!!
Other fan comments:
The fans wanted you to learn to slide.....
The fans wanted you to complete a pass when it was 3rd down and inches,,,,,but you never could...
One fan said RGIII is a bit creepy, he checks out his old team's transactions and ex-wife's Facebook Pages---he cant let go of the past....😄

Hmmm....There's a screenshot of Le'Veon Bell's Instagram story that shows Le'Veon in an Eagles' jersey and two eagles on the screen. He might just be toying with the Eagles' fanbase, but it's interesting. Picking him up would be quite an accomplishment for the Eagles.

Lots of rumors of Antonio Brown being sent to Siberia, also known as Buffalo. Some reliable sources also mention Green Bay being in the hunt. I'm thinking neither area is someplace AB really wants to go. We'll have to see if those rumors pan out.

Rumors of Buffalo and AB calling it fake news.

Rapoport is now reporting the deal with Buffalo is off. Some sort of snag came up. NFL.com has both stories, the trade and the trade falling through, up at the same time currently. I'm pretty sure AB would not be happy in Buffalo. That may have been the snag. So, maybe Green Bay?

And it sounds like AB was the snag. Reports indicate the Bills got permission to talk to Drew Rosenhaus who informed Buffalo AB would not report to Buffalo, so the deal was killed. Note to Steelers: This is why you let a player's agent find a team for his client in a trade. If Rosenhaus is setting up the trade, AB goes. You may not get quite as much, but at least the trade happens.
Word is that the market for AB is now down to zero teams. Expect a team or two to come in and offer a low ball bid on AB (third to fifth round pick) and take their chances with AB showing up to play. If the Steelers and Patriots weren't rivals, he's a guy Belichick would try to steal on the cheap. I just don't see the Steelers trading him to New England though. The Steelers now are running out of time before they have to pay AB the $2.5 million they really don't want to pay him.
